The Stone Cabin. Eureka!
Found it. Almost accidently.
#1: First view. Half way up a hill, intending to investigate an area that seemed likely, I stopped briefly to look at something, then glanced back behind me. Voila!
#2-5: A fraction of what I shot. Now that I know where the Stone Cabin is, and know the best route to it, I'll wait for a more 'photogenic' day to return and shoot it for 'real.'
One thing learned, however, is that the artist's rendering (ref: my post a few days ago) is to some extent made up. Artistic license, it would appear....
That is one i thing i notice with some photos. Something may look quite clear to our vision but almost totally invisible in a photo.

Congratulations on finding it. At least it is not a pile of rocks yet. And it does blend into its surroundings. Great shots of it with the conditions you had.
Looking forward to seeing your more photogenic efforts. In the meantime, I'll just have to wish that my more photogenic efforts were equal to these hum-drum shots.
Good work, Cany. Determination and skill work wonders.

Great images!!!!
Isn't it a bitch that Mother Nature don't cater to our wants and needs?
But I do always look at the weather with the knowledge that it is controlled by a woman!!! and that I usually find more with each trip I make to a site.
Have fun I'll be waiting for the "Real" images.
I love the images. Don't sell yourself short.

Cany, not bad really. Your perspective and composition to compare is really good. I did a side x side and found it to be quite good. Keep in mind that the purpose was to sketch and place in situ for filing LCS (HS-14). There actually may be photos as part of the file. And, it is 8 years since this sketch was published. It is possible it is earlier than that, but it is the only date on the sketch.

Glad you looked behind you! There seem to be a lot of rocks missing. Could there be another stone dwelling out there?
Love the second and third.
No wonder it wasn't easily found!
Outstanding set, Cany. Great job of story telling with pictures. Wonder how old the cabin is and why it's there.
