Country boy - My lens is a 400mm f5.6 & a child's medium sleeve fits the lens exactly & I am also too lazy to sew material.

Guess I was wrong, my kids had t-shirts and the sleeves would have been to short but I'm sure you found them made by someone other than what I did. I still think this is a great idea!

You miss a very important point - you get two camo sleeves for your $10 .

Or if you have a kid with one arm you really save.

LOL, I've done exactly the same thing...you might have to pick thru them a bit (for cosmetic purposes), but you get a lot for a little, just have to cut them!!!

You can save more money by getting the colored foam floats in the dollar store, but I don't like the quality.

Good thinking. I wonder if parents of one-armed kids will start a rush for them (better buy early just to be safe) .

Wow! That out-frugals every suggestion so far (you don't have any Scottish ancestry by any chance?) .

The color paint you use would depend on what speed, f stop & ISO you want to set.

This video could be the subject of lengthy topic on its own merit. Do we see someone who is of troubled mind, eccentric hermit, voyeur, talented, or a curiosity? Or all these plus? Or not?

...like I am? My Scottish nature I guess. If you shoot wildlife with a big white Canon L lens you really need to use a camo sleeve of some type. You can spend $70 or more(on Amazon) or you can go to a sporting goods store & buy a child's camouflage T-shirt for $10, cut the sleeve off & slip it over the lens.

I wouldn't say I'm cheap but what are you going to do with that other sleeve?

In my mind a lot of not buying "Camera" stuff is not being ripped off. A good camera or lens has quality of glass and technical engineering act. but some of the stuff is saying its photographic and upping the price.

Well done. Only on the Hedgehog could such a topic stretch to 3 pages.
