I'm a lefty, no issues with camera or right rifles deer hunting. Right eye has priority or whatever you would call it.

Surprisingly, I am Left handed, comfortable using or holding my Nikon D3300 in my Right hand, although at this moment, I am not sure if which Eye I prefer using for my View finder. I rarely use the Viewing Screen to Take an image, just viewing the finished image.

As a lefty, now I know why my photos are frequently lacking. I just knew it couldn’t be a lack of skill, experience or artistic ability.

I am left handed 100% my problem is with doing the reflex of manipulation of settings without having to stop and look and think. I don't think a left handed camera would make a difference now though.

Son is left handed, but right-footed when playing soccer. Learning to play a right-handed electric bass guitar.

Hi group,
I was one of those kids who started school in the 40s when there were no left-handed people (at least in my school). I'm with some of the other people in the group - right-handed for "learned" skills and left-handed for most of the other "self-taught skills" like opening a jar of pickles or ??? however I do swing a hammer as a righty as learned from my dad. Take care & ...

I know several left handled people who use their right hand for different things, like playing the guitar, for example. It's not that they're trying to comply. They just find it more comfortable. There are several other examples that elude me.

My dominant eye is my left eye and I am right handed. That is one reason why I went with Nikon over 50 years ago. The viewfinder prism is offset to the left when you are holding the camera in shooting position.

I'm left handed (U.K.) but never found it a problem. If I'm playing Tennis or Badminton I'll more than likely swap hands rather than play a backhand. I'm pretty fast at it, but not as fast as a good backhander. Mouse on the PC I'll use right handed when editing but drawing or writing left handed. I'm not ambidextrous, but the only thing I can really remember giving me gip was the stubbs on an old fashioned cheque book.

Don't think I would have spent a lot in Ned Flanders Leftorium.

I think they simply learn to use it the way everyone else uses them. It's like learning to shake hands. Everyone does it right handed and once you learn to do it right handed it will be second nature to do it that way.

I think you're right on here jeep daddy. As a lefty myself, and left eyed, cameras were not an issue until they started having screens on the back and were constantly getting smeared by my nose. Then, Canon came out with articulated screens...problem eliminated.

I'm right-handed but left-eyed and use the left eye to peer thru the viewfinder. It just never dawned on me 55 years ago when I got my first Nikon that people did it differently. Now I get the live view screen a bit messed up with nose oils but for me it's natural. I will say, however, that it complicates BBF focusing just a little. Hope everyone is having a great New Year so far.

When I started BBF I had to change to right eye dominant after 55 years of shooting left eye. Not a problem.

Why did you switch hit? Left handed batters have an advantage, two steps closer to first.

Switch hitters have an advantage with curve balls.

Same here. Turns out the only thing I do Lefty is write and it is horrible. Maybe I'm a Righty imprisoned in a Lefty body

My left eye is dominant. I have no problem with my nose smearing the screen on the back of my cameras. I even eat Righty. That was learned in college at the caf table. Kept colliding with the Righties next to me so I adapted.
