My second car was identical to yours except for the wheels. It was the only car I ever owned that I should never have sold.
Is the '56 where the gas fill was in the left tail light by twisting the top bar in the light assembly and dropping the tail light? My dad had a blue (turquoise) & white car.
I had a couple of ‘57’s that I wish I still had, but the car I should have never let get away was a ‘55 Nomad station wagon.😩
When I was young and we were fearless a friend was riding on the hood astraddle this type hood ornament when something caused me to have to hit the brakes. Luckily I was not driving very fast but he never chose to ride there again. Yes, he was able to become a father after this.
One of my favorite cars, KT, great set.
My favorite of the trio from a style perspective. The further tweak on the powertrain makes the '57 my favorite mechanically. I'd love to own either. Great shots, KT. Have to love the mid to late 50's when color and design went wild.

Yes, it was. I worked part time pumping gas back then and it was a real challenge to learn where all the gas caps were hidden.

Thanks! Wasn't sure.
I remember one attendant (when THEY pumped gas) looking and looking for the gas fill. We had to tell him.
I had one car where the fill was behind the license plate.
I never owned a Chevy, but my senior year in High school my mother and step-father gave me permission to use, as mine, a '54 Chevy DelRay four door sedan (commonly referred to at the time as a "210" I guess due to the straight 6 engine). It was nothing flashy but it was mine for all intents and purposes, getting to and from school, dating, cruising, hanging out with friends. I fell in love with the car and would accept one today if I thought it could be restored for reasonable cost. But, I'd have to convince my wife to go along with the idea.
Very good images of a very nice looking '56 KT.

Nice shots KT except i don't remember those cars having a Chevy bow tie on the tail light lens. Back in the 60's i had 2 56 Chevy"s.
