Hi quixdraw,
Darn! I've sure been enjoying your new (old) camera through your eyes and posts. I have to admit I've taken a look at eBay just to see what a D2X would cost me. I really tempted but will fight off the urge. <GRN> Take care & ...

Beautiful captures and great rendering. Just started using my old 75-300mm on my A7c yesterday... So far my success rate is low, but there was a gentle breeze and am still mastering the manual focus system on the Sony. Will put it on the D90 and see if there is a "tuning" problem today. Please enjoy a wonderful holiday season and keep on sharing the great work.

Thanks very much. I got an excellent deal on the camera - initially resisted, no need for another camera, but the thought of spending a couple of weeks learning a new camera won out against boredom. It is a formidable camera even 16 years after issue, with a lot of capability. You could do a lot worse if you can find a clean one with reasonable shutter count.

Thanks very much. Before I got my macro 105 the 75-300 was my go to for bugs and butterflies on my D7200, top end of the zoom at around 8 or 9 feet, razor sharp. Actually, they are inexpensive enough that I had bought a spare - gave it to a buddy after I got the macro. Good luck with it, and Merry Christmas!

Nice set and visual on on focal length effect. You and that camera seem to get along well.

I love the last! The foreground items in the others didn't add anything in my opinion...

Thanks! Actually, I agree, but was just interested in walking the focal lengths for comparison purposes. Many of the photos posted testing / playing with the D2x would not otherwise be ones I would choose.
