I remember that freeze well. We had ice on everything. Your tangerine tree must have been a non-grafted sour version if they couldn’t be eaten. Fortunately most citrus has a wonderful smell when in bloom. They make good honey, too

Sorry, couldn't eat them ALL.

That good to hear. I love tangerines but the sour ones are really terrible!

These were really good. Our development used to be a Minute Maid grove.
One neighbor a few streets away had a grapefruit tree.
We swapped.

I know it's December, well past fall. However, this is the most fall color I've seen in some time. This is my front yard Crepe Myrtle. I don't think it has had such a showy stage most years but this caught my attention.

Beautiful image Carol

I used to trek around in the Everglades.
There was a variety of maple, called Swamp Maple. Not a large tree and only here and there.
Anyway, their leaves would turn color, just as colorful as northern varieties. Went from Fall, drop their leaves and immediately go into Spring. New leaves.
Fla makes up for no 'Fall' with Royal Poincianas (orange), Jacarandas(blue), Tabebuias(yellow) and many other flowers.

Nice to know we have another member living here in Bonita. We are full time Mainers by way of Cape Cod to Bonita. 20 years now!

I wouldn't call it great color, but better right know than we have up here - no color but white, Carol. :-)

We'll take what we can get as far as color goes Carol. I have 2 CMs, one tree in the back yard and a bush in the front yard. Sometimes I get a little color but nothing like yours. In the Spring though, they are magnificent.

John, many years in the past have only had the color of brush piles drying out along the street after a hurricane. This is the first time the Crepe has had this much color. Usually in fall, the Golden Rain trees provide a colorful display when they bloom.

Beautiful !!
