IMHO the 2nd attempt is more pleasing to the eye and do like the concept. The model is exquisite too. If going to use the background did you consider or attempt one with it more out of focus?

I think one of the problems with applying a texture in PP is that it does not properly wrap around the body. If the body were truly made of the marble the veining would get "tighter" as the body surface angles away from the viewer. This marble veining just looks a bit flat.
