I plug my iPhone into my Windows 10 PC then select the photos and copy to wherever I want.

I use the San disk-ixpand and find it very easy to use.

I use the sandisk ixpand 128GB and love it. So easy, just connect the lightening connector (the small end) to your phone, download your photos, then connect the USB connector (the large end) to your computer to transfer photos.

I use iCloud storage. Photos taken with my iPhone automatically upload to iCloud when my phone connects to Wi-Fi. I can transfer them anywhere from there, or make some edits.

Wondering how to move my photos to another storage medium from my iPhone.
Please make it as easy as possible for me.
Thanks in advance

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max. As with all the iPhones I have had, all I do is plug the iPhone into the computer Using the cord that came with the iPhone. A window opens up on my computer asking me what i would like to do. One of the options is to open the file location to view the files. I click on that and windows explorer open to the iPhone folder. All your photos will be located in subfolders. You can then copy them to where you want them to be saved. Very easy.

The easiest way that gives you total control is with the app Image Capture which should be in your applications folder if you are using a Mac. At the bottom of the screen you can decide exactly where to store the images. In the main panel you will see all the images listed by date with previews so you can choose. The nice thing, IMHO, is that it will move HEIC files (16-bit TIFF files) unchanged. If you your AirDrop all are changed to jpeg format.

One of the easy ways to transfer photos from Iphone to Computer if it is a Mac is Air drop.
1. Go to Photos on phone
2. click on the Select icon
3. Select photos you wish to move (they get little check boxers)
4. click on action icon usually bottom left corner little square with an up arrow
5. select airdrop should be bottom row you might have to scroll. (if not there scroll to more ... select from there
6. if you have your mac on and near it will pop up under devices click on device (Mac just has to be on wifi)
7. go onto computer look in downloads they should be showing up there.
Easy peasy you can move any files back and forth with air drop

I don't have a Mac so I use the PC. When I connect my Iphone to the PC it asked if I would trust the PC. If I press yes I can access the Iphone on my PC like a drive. I can copy all the pictures to the PC or any drives, memory cards attached to the PC. It's easy.
Now try to put a picture from the PC to the Iphone wouldn't work. I have to go thru the internet for that either by emailing or use the cloud storage.

Buy a simple adapter to connect the Lightning jack to an SD card or USB stick... OR

Use Dropbox app... OR

iCloud on the Mac... OR

Connect a Lightning cable to your Mac and use Apple Image Capture (free with the MacOS).

Windoze users can explain how to do it there...

The easiest way to do it is to use a Mac and iCloud. Store photos in iCloud, and they are almost instantly available on all your Apple devices that support it. (Configuration may take some assistance from an Apple Genius Bar technician, or an Apple lover, or a search of the Internet.)

Google "connect iphone to computer to download photos" and you'll get plenty of options, plus ads for devices that make it simple.

Use Photos on line. Set it up and all photos taken on iPhone automatically go to the cloud and your other Apple devices. You can download any or all to your computer to store them. Good luck!

I have a Samsung rather than i-Phone, but it I think it might work the same:
Put the charger cord on the phone, then plug the USB end into a USB port on the computer.
Open Windows Explorer, and you should see the phone listed there.
Navigate to the phone-folder with your photos, then simply copy and paste them to a folder on your computer.

Yes, this works on iPhone to PC. The phone needs to be unlocked, i.e. logged in, before the PC "sees" it.

My work (damage appraiser) requires me to photo about everything. With that said I also use several methods to capture images. From a Cannon point n shoot, Sony a6000, and iPhone 11pro max. With the phone, I have created a file to place work images, then using the usb-lighting cable, I am able to transfer photos from that file to my work PC. Yes, I could simply email or Dropbox them, but this is how I’ve done it over the years, and it works. So, you might try that.

Easy peezy. That’s exactly how I load from my iPhone 11max
