Wondering how to move my photos to another storage medium from my iPhone.
Please make it as easy as possible for me.
Thanks in advance
I know one thing. with each new OS it gets harder and harder. This is why I want less and less on my phone. NOT more and more.
What are you moving them to? You can email them to yourself a few at a time. You might be able to go thru the cloud. If not you need a lightning to usb cable. Also u can ask Siri.
Just use your home wi-fi to connect to your computer?
How do you like those suggestions, man? LOL Lots of detail. LOL Or you have to buy something.
I have a Samsung rather than i-Phone, but it I think it might work the same:
Put the charger cord on the phone, then plug the USB end into a USB port on the computer.
Open Windows Explorer, and you should see the phone listed there.
Navigate to the phone-folder with your photos, then simply copy and paste them to a folder on your computer.

I have an iPhone but use Windows for my desktop and laptop. I use iCloud for Windows. It gives me access to my photos, assuming I send them to iCloud, and I can download them and store them with normal Windows processes. If I select more than one photo to download it sends me a zip file.
I don't use a Mac, but I would expect you can access iCloud from the Mac and do whatever you need to do to copy the photos from iCloud to some folder.

This is what I do with my Galaxy (Samsung) phone.
I would imagine a similar method can be used with an iPhone.

The easiest and fastest way to do this is to use a USB/Charging cable, connect it to a computer, search for the DCIM folder that has your images (and video), and just drag and drop it onto your computer. From there you can copy the files to any other media.
https://www.howtogeek.com/345540/how-to-transfer-photos-from-an-iphone-to-a-pc/Easier still, get yourself a Flickr account. One of the options is to link to your phone and make a copy of your images and store it on your webspace in Flickr - automatically.
I use LrC and the import function or air drop when it's just a couple of images.

Just install the Google Photos app. Then every time you open the app it will upload all (not previously uploaded) of your photos to your Google account (free). You can access your photographs any time on your phone (in the app) and download any back to your phone (into Photos) at any time. You can also access your photos from any computer connected to the Internet by visiting your Google account and selecting Photos from the drop down menu. Any photos here can be downloaded to your computer. I use this facility all the time to transfer photos from my iPhone to my various computers. Oh and it's very easy to use and the app can even delete the photos from your phone after uploading. Give it a try....
I use Morningstar's method for my iPhones and Android devices. Easy-peasy.
I use the Morningstar method too. My phone plugs into my computer just like a USB drive.
I also use the Lightroom 'ecosystem'. With the (cloudy, mobile) Lightroom CC on my phone, the (cloudy, mobile) Lightroom CC app on my computer will get the image files magically in the background. The (disk based) Lightroom Classic will 'sync' with the cloudy files and the images will be in LR Classic, on my disk drive.
If data costs or limits bother you, the phone LR CC app can be set to 'wifi' only.
