Yeah, I couldn't find it but I once saw one designed for the guys who deliver appliances and furniture that had a battery and motor plus continuous belt thing with padding that ran the full length of the uprights to avoid damaging wooden stairs. Of course there are probably used cars down at "Shifty Sam's Used Cars" that cost less.

Interesting picture and more interesting story. Couple of options. Move some furniture once and give the tree it's own @#**ing window. Or you might trip just once in front of your wife and make a miraculous save. Provide some food for thought on trusting you with such an important task. Just sayin'......
