Kcooke, perhaps your 'thanks' so go to PhotoshopCC. Don't get me wrong. I purchased my first Photoshop back in 2005, but when the closed me out a year ago or so, that was that.

Have you thought of Affinity Photo? I have, and very happy about it too.

Just a heads up:

I ran PS2021 yesterday and found that the line tool is broken. Tried to draw some arrows but all I got was arrowheads, no line behind them. Then tried just the line and got nothing. Went back to PS2020 for that feature. Noted others had that problem in the community forum so hopefully there will be an update soon.

Win10 here. Can't speak for Mac.

I have the same problem. I have a great quad core tower with 4 internal drives that cannot be upgraded and a 13" MacBook Pro that cannot be upgraded. Several tech people have told me that the quad core tower has more than enough processing power to handle Mojave, but Apple won't let me upgrade. What a waste. I hate that they do this.

I am thinking of getting a 16" laptop to use with my 27" monitor in my office, and use it when I travel. I am still struggling with the decision of a getting 13" or a 16". I hope my 10 year old NEC monitor will still work with the new laptop. I have a feeling it will need to be upgraded too. Lots of $$$

I'm on windows 10 and all my errors to date a have user. A side question, how many bloody OS's do they have for the mac? It seems to me that you are asking Adobe to have to test on every flavor of OS. That is very expensive and error prone. I know there are benefits to the Mac OS, but the Heintz 57 variety seems self defeating for application in general.

Apple has had a lot of versions. The problem is with Apple not Adobe. Apple writes in code to exclude older models from running on the latest software. On some like my mid 2009 macbook pro you can modify the code and it will work with the new software. On my Mid 2010 MAC Pro tower that is also an issue but the bigger issue is the GPU. It has to be replaced to run well. The original GPU does not support the Metal architecture. My Mac pro runs happily with no issues. There is enough room to put 9 SSDs or Hard drives. 4 main drive sleds, 3 PCI slots and two Superdrives. It has a 3.33 GHz 6 Core Xeon processor.

I have been researching video card options for a 2010 Mac Pro Desktop that supports metal. They are hard to find one that is seamless. Have you found one? Thank you.

yes right here at this link. They are good folks to deal with too

Sorry, but it's not necessarily being stagnant. Some of us cannot afford to buy a new $1700 imac just to run the latest OS to run the latest photoshop. I'm not whining or complaining just stating a fact.

This is my case too. I don't have $6400 for a MAC Pro Tower. Just saying

This is not directed to any one person, but to all of us. I have been using my iMac mid-2011 for 9 years now. I’m frozen at OS 10.12. LR (CC) & PS (whatever) do not upgrade to the most recent versions. These “terrible processing conditions” are ok with me. I’m one of the majority of photographers that don’t need the latest and greatest software upgrades to do the routine tasks which are usually cropping, highlight/shadow adjustments, WB tweaking, and Topazing. I can even do fine portrait enhancement with these archaic tools. Bottom line is that I am happy with my computer system and if it cannot be repaired then I’ll upgrade at that time

I will however fly out the store to buy the latest Nikon Z camera and Z lenses- lol

I don't need the latest either but i hate paying for it and not being able to use it.

Thank you but this card is not seamless. Here is a note listed with the card:

Note: With this Metal-compatible graphics card installed, you will not be able to see the Apple logo at boot, nor can you access boot options. Once your system has fully booted, the graphics card will function normally. For more details (including workarounds), see the Rocket Yard article on How to Get Ready for macOS Mojave. There are no driver(s) or Catalyst/Adrenalin support on macOS.

Right it’s not seamless but it will work. Personally I don’t care if I see the boot screen. I believe Any card you use will cause this to happen.

Thanks. If you read the documentation it mentions issues with the graphic card in certain models and the fact that it will not work, this is true for the mid 2010 Mac Pro but I could do it on my 2009 MacBook Pro.
