I haven't sold anything to them but I have the impression that they don't offer very much for anything used. I have all my used cameras, etc in a glass display cabinet in my home office. I think I will hang on to them until I die and let my family do what they will with them.

I’ve only bought from them but I traded in a lens to MPB and they were great and easy to work with.

I have sold and purchased several lenses and cameras with KEH. Excellent company to work with. I had no issues with them.

However, be aware that they are in the business of buying and selling equipment to make a profit. So your offers will be at the low or "wholesale" level. If you want the "retail" value for your items you need to sell it yourself online through ebay, craigslist, etc. Of course then you have to handle all the extra details yourself such as packing, shipping, and making sure it reaches your buyer in good shape.

When selling to KEH, B&H, Adorama and others, they will handle all these details for you. Also, all the big camera companies do online quotes and offers. Check them all out.

I have used KEH and had good success, and I have also used MPB out of NYC, and I would have no problem dealing with either of them in the future.

Excellent dealing with KEH. I brought a bunch of old cams to them when they were in town. Easy to do they valued it and gave me a check on the spot. Could I have sold them for more? Probably but then I would have to deal with all the individual people coming to my house to look at one item. No thanks.

I have sold to mpb and keh. Bought from both also. mpb pays more for most used equipment. Both are equally good in my opinion.

I sold a camera including it's battery to MPB. They lost the battery (that they had valued at $5.) and didn't believe that I sent it. They chiseled me out of the $5. I will never deal with them again. It's not the money it's the principal.

The Fred Miranda website is a great place to sell to knowledgeable shutterbugs. You need to pay to list, but it is a nominal amount. I’ve sold many lenses and bodies on that site, and if priced correctly, you should get a retail price, rather than a wholesale price.

In selling used equipment to KEH or anyone else, one needs to keep in mind they are wanting to profit. Buy low, sell as used.
