I signed up for Apple TV to watch that Tom Hanks WWII movie, which I saw last night. Now, I can't find a way to cancel Apple before they charge me another $7.00. I haven't been able to watch anything else on Disney unless I buy the movie or watch it on an Apple device. I guess I could buy a $1,000 iPod and watch on that. I wonder if an old iPhone would work using Wi-Fi.

When I go to the Apple site, there is no sign-in option. I clicked on the "Join" link, and my sign-in credentials popped up. I filled them in, but that brought me back to the "Join" page. I clicked on my icon, and the choices were "Settings" and Sign Out." Clicking on Settings brought me back to the page encouraging people to sign up. So, basically, I can't do anything.

Looking online, it says to click on Settings, and that will let me cancel, but as I said above, there are no settings.

I added a picture of what I get when I click on Settings - another opportunity to click on Settings.

Any ideas?

More and more problems with on line sites as they have burned through the best code writers etc and started hiring the "almost good" ones.
A site that makes a very good healing skin cream for diabetics has a "SHOP" section (all the local places are out of stock) but it has no "add to cart button". It does have a cart section and prices. But you can't put anything in the cart. And if you could buy them from the site the price for a three pack is higher than the price for 3 individual tubes.
And I even saw that price goof on Walmart.com Two individual 40lb bags of Pennington Bird feed with shipping is cheaper than the two pack - by almost $5. And the individual bags are 2 day delivery but the 2 pack takes almost a week.

Why yes we do. Here’s a quote from him earlier in this subject line.

“Thanks. I saw that page, so I guess I'll have to go to my Mac and see if I can cancel from there. I'm disappointed that I can't watch anything my TV. After all, it is called "Apple TV." Imagine watching a movie on an Apple watch or iPhone. I want my 55" screen!”

So we know positively that he has a Mac. And on that Mac it’s settings-Apple ID-manage subscriptions.

Actually, on the Mac you have to go to the App Store, then click on your name at the bottom of the sidebar and then click on View information at the top of the account page and then scroll down to manage. The process that you suggested will only work on an iPhone, iPad or iPod. I'm not sure if the OP has one of those devices.
Also, he may have signed up for Disney Plus on the Disney web site. If so, it may be necessary for him to cancel the subscription by going to the Disney Plus web site. In any case, as has been suggested several times, it may be easier to contact Apple Support at 800 APL CARE for assistance.

It has become the norm for bulk packs (say of 2 items) to be dearer than 2 single packs. For some reason supermarkets haven't woken up to that. I often buy two 500ml bottles of detergent instead of the 1000ml refill pack because they are cheaper. I actually do know why that it. For every 1 bulk pack sold they sell 1000 singles so get better discounts on singles. Most bulk pack purchases are like this now. Just absolutely fantastic for the environment. Can involve some mental arithmetic for items that come in a range of sizes to work out the best deal. And they think that adding to the label the price for a standard amount will allow comparisons and then use three different standard amount sizes so you still have to do mental arithmetic in the middle of the supermarket. My daughter used to do the pricing in a supermarket (part of a large chain) and she spent a lot of time pointing out the mistakes to head-office that they were making. So she stopped after a while and just bought multiple items of the best deals. Saved a packet. Add supermarket head-office staff to legislators and educators.

My Apple TV+ responds to Siri commands; all I have to do is say: "Siri go to settings" and the settings page appears like magic! Simple.

The Apple TV device is not necessary in order to watch Disney Plus or Apple TV Plus for that matter.

Watching a movie on a watch or phone is the same "wondrous" technology as texting. It's like going back to 1940. One makes you go blind and the other makes you go crazy.

Such things as this pass through my credit card. I call card company and tell them future charges are unauthorized.

Jerry, to cancel an Apple app you need to open your iPhone to the settings screen and at the very top above the Airplane Mode setting is your account. Click on that and then click on “subscriptions”. It shows your apps that you pay a monthly fee for. You can unsubscribe from Apple TV there I think.

Edit.
Not real sure, but maybe you could even find Disney + on that setting too.

Okay. I'll go out and buy an iPhone.

Jerry - You can only access the Apple TV+ streaming service on an iPhone, iPad, Smart TV or by connecting a device known as "Apple TV" to your TV as long as your TV has an HDMI port. If you need assistance cancelling your service simply call 1 800 APL CARE. PM me if I can be off further help.

Not all smart TVs can watch Disney, and mine is one of the non-eligible - Vizio. I was able to watch the movie, though, which was very good. Now I'll have to cancel Disney+.

That sounds good. I'll have to look into that. I have Internet, cable, and phone with Spectrum. What confuses me is what that means, exactly. Everything comes in on a single cable, but I think "cable" means cable TV. If I drop the "cable" part, I'll be getting my TV from the Internet - Netflix, Prime, etc. Is that correct? I'd like to be able to get broadcast network TV, too.

Jerry you get every network channel across the country so if you wanted to watch cbs in texas or utah you can.I dropped my cable tv service with spectrum also kept the internet and phone bundle so the price is $80 dollars a month for that. Then with the iptv is $8 dollars well worth the price. I also use the amazon 4k fire stick to watch this. They give you instructions when you sighn up for the service.
