Old memories - refried - always good - I do remember my goat meat days from Karachi and Lahore, Pakistan!

You got me there - never heard of hamour, was wondering what the ham was doing in our fish!

Wow - you had a great trip - and I am glad to see that Abu Dhabi is so much more than just a modern urban bright spot in the desert!

A terrific tour...we all enjoyed you documenting this part of the world for us and better than PBS's "Travel Channel".

Besides the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which was very interesting, we visited a few other places in Abu Dhabi that were really quite forgettable. I am showing in this final set a couple of pictures from a rather unusual museum and a few with the views from the Wave Breaker Beach at Heritage Village to the skyline of Abu Dhabi. The Heritage Village itself was rather touristy and we also visited a large mall, but since I am not into malls, that did not mean much to me.

This is the end of the Abu Dhabi segment of the Arabian Peninsula trip, tomorrow we will commence the last segment with an in-depth look at the much more exciting city of Dubai, both in its modestly interesting modern form as well as its more ancient colorful and action-filled roots.

I look forward to your comments and questions and recommend viewing the downloads.

Thank you sb for your kind comment - and yes, it was quite a trip, glad you liked the Abu Dhabi section and I hope you will find the Dubai segment, which will start in about an hour, equally interesting. Joe
