These two shots were made using CIZ On my RX10iv and zoomed as much as possible. Then sent to my iPhone where I cropped a bunch. I don’t use CIZ that much but I’m plenty happy with these.
Optical zoom is limited to 600mm equivalent which normally is enough for me. This guy I wanted to get closer to. I realize I lost some resolution through the PC to iPhone transfer.

Doesn’t look like you lost much to me. Great shots!

Thanks. I’ve got an A77ii and A6000 that I’ve had longer than the RX10iv. I’ve taken a few better shots with those but my keeper rate with the RX10iv is way way higher. And not having to change lenses has spoiled me. I don’t like the noise above ISO 800 so I keep it limited at that number.

Have you tried Topaz Lab’s Denoise AI? I’ve found I can shoot at much higher ISOs, if necessary, and pretty much eliminate the noise in post.

I haven’t. In fact, I do little PP beyond some cropping, light adjustments and haze removal every now and then. I use PSE 18 for that. Good to know tho’. Thanks.

I usually shoot rodeos with my d500 and d850 with lenses 20mm to 500mm. I now just take the rx10 m4 and get all the shots all the way to 600mm
