The UHH members who posted here are wrong. The Nikon ML-L3 is an infrared signal remote. I have one that I use with my D7500. It works great with the Nikon cameras that utilize infrared signal triggering. The D500 works only with radio signal remotes. You would need to get the WR-T10 and WR-R10. If you get the WR-T10/WR-R10/WR-A10 bundle you can also trigger the D5000 Speedlight. I have a D500 and SB-5000. I'm going to be purchasing the WR-T10/WR-R10/WR-A10 bundle soon.

Try vello remotes on Adorama and B&H

Yes Vello FreeWave Micro works great on my D500. Great range and a variety of settings to access features.

I did state that the ML-L3 is a wireless remote.

"Nikon ML-L3 wireless remote. Simple, cheap, and it works."

I'm confused.

Try eBay, they have inexpensive remots that work well

And if you paid attention to the first page, it’s already been confirmed that it doesn’t work with the D500
