Those aren't bruises they are the eyes. Plant them and you would get more potato plants.

Potato worms are quite common. Therefore, I never buy a bag (for convenience), but choose to pick my own loose ones. Also common is buying bags where the spuds are already shooting, but you cannot see into the bag. Good for planting and shows they are in good condoition, but what a pain cutting or rubbing off all those shoots.

I guess that's British humor

I think that for the most part British humor is an oxymoron----excluding John Cleese, Ricky Gervais and Mr Bean, of course.

I think that for the most part British humour (at least get the spelling correct, please) is way over the heads of most Americans, which is why so many of them think that John Cleese and Mr. Bean are funny, when in fact they represent the lowest points in British humour.

And FYI, I am both British and American.

I spelled humor correctly. Sophisticated British humor is still an oxymoron.
It must gall to learn that millions of Chinese love Mr Bean, without subtitles. As far as the rest of your post goes, ho-hum.

"Sophisticated British humor" is a spelling error. I am not sure why you chose to inject these nasty comments into a harmless thread on a photography forum. Nor do I understand why you wish to dictate to me what my reaction "must" be to the viewing preferences of millions of Chinese. Why would I care? If they find slapstick funny, then that suggests that much visual comedy is universal. Every country has a range of humor, or humour, from crass to sophisticated. It is even possible to find sophisticated humor in the United States.

I am not going to follow this thread further.
