Can you imagine how much powder they had to have in the ship? 1-2 seconds.

Apparently some of you forget that wood floats. With that said, how is it that the ship would sink in the times said?

So the ships that were supposedly sunk back during the Revolutionary War and Civil War on forward are still floating around somewhere in the vastness of the oceans? Is the Spanish Armada of 1588 still afloat somewhere per chance?

Asking for a friend?

Wooden ships had a lot of stone ballast so I imagine that would help it on its way if the hull was breached.

If the wood particles are in water and have not decinergrated due to rot or have not become petrified.

Imagine that showing up at your doorstep!

I wonder how tall the masts were.

The mainmast was a few inches short of 117 feet high.

So great to see they are maintaining such a fine old ship. Great detailed photo too. Do they ever install the top masts?

WOW! A real war making ship! In it's day there was probably nothing to take this ship on!
Nice photo and thanks for sharing!
