Great series! In photo 4, the surfer's facial expression is amazing, must have known 'this is going to be wet, gotta close my mouth! Photo 9, is a photo I wish I could catch!

#7 is typical. Go to the beach and sit on the sand and stare at your cellphone! Ah, SoCal! (and probably everywhere else there's a signal!).

I did catch photo #3 at the right time with that facial expression......when in "machine gun mode" it helps increase your odds of capturing a good shot. You don't know it till you bring the photo up on your computer though!

You are SOOOOOOO RIGHT cambriaman..........every teenage girl on the beach is glued to their cell phone.

Yeah Dr.Nikon, that surfer was the very best I've ever seen on a SUP. He was outsurfing all the locals on short boards.

Great set. They all have their stories to tell, but I still am amazed each time I see one of your stop-action photos, how much of an athlete these surfers have to be. My body didn't move in those directions in my best days...............

Thanks AuntieM.......those surfers surf all the time and they make it look easy, just like any athlete does when they practice their sport again and again. You should see the pros, they are amazing!!!!!!
