Yupper, daughter was here for a while and then got a job. But the job is an hour away so she graces us with her presence when she isn't out partying with her boyfriend.

Hopefully this is temporary until she finds a place.

Best part is she doesn't eat much.

We have been very fortunate that when the kids moved out for college, they never moved back. We kept 'em busy enough during summer break they didn't WANT to move back home!

Not bogus, but misleading. For example:
Quote:
Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

It also encompasses those citizens who are among the richest people in the nation. I didn't see any actual numbers about median income comparisons between the counties won by Obama vs. McCain. Would you like to compare the median income of Palm Beach County in Florida to some of the counties that went for McCain in Mississippi?
Not bogus, but misleading. For example: br quote... (show quote)

While I have not looked into the facts of this- your premise is flawed in this part. In any important sized area, the population of the rich is much smaller then the poor, yet all votes are equal in value. ie, one homeless guy's vote "trumps" Donald Trump's.

A quote attributed to Thomas Jefferson is as follows;

"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."

No known handwritten account of this is known, but the following is:
Jefferson's comment in a prospectus for his translation of Destutt de Tracy's Treatise on Political Economy: "To take from one, because it is thought that his own industry and that of his fathers has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, ˜the guarantee to every one of a free exercise of his industry, & the fruits acquired by it.'"

The brilliance and genius of the founding fathers always amazes me, that's why I am a conservative- in fact, I think that a return to how they intended the checks and balances to work is in order. Term limits on congress for one would return regular people, who want nothing more than to set things right, back into the mix.

Gonna take a wholesale change of Congress and the House as well as the executive branch to fix this. And all you liberals out there, that is what the first and second amendments were written for and in that precise order. As one will not exist without the other.

Ahhh yes... it took me awhile to compose that, more replies were added by the time I hit send. However my quotes are spot-on accurate... and scary all by themselves.

As Ive said many times before I dont think Mitt will get in. There is more with their hand out than us. I just wrote out seven of my monthly checks for charitable originations.Ive been doing this for many years. If OB gets in again Im sad to say but this will stop. Ill have to start saving that to pay the very large tax incress I see coming. Besides OB will be taken care of all those So I wont have to bother any more. God help us. No telling what hes got in store for us in the next four years. It will be no comfort but we will be able to say I told you so.
