Correct it is your Constitutional Right to die. It is not your constitutional right to infect other people who then die.

Complain all you want about your right but I think the thousands that have died in Italy would not agree. While any lock down is not fun it is the only course that makes sense against a virus with no known drug to stop it at this time.

Do what you like but if you get infected and pass it along then there should be no problem charging you with manslaughter or with a crime against public health.

While these comments will most likely fire you right up and launch you into space then so be it. I live in Italy, have been locked down for over a month with strict travel decrees and in Rome it has made a big difference. And before you go shooting off I grew up in NY and have dual citizenship and in this matter I am glad I am here and not NYC.

Here's the facts
Montana's population was 1,068,778 in 2019, We have 145,552 square miles of LAND, this does not include any water. That means there are 7.3429 people per square miles.

There is 27,878,400 square feet in a square mile, so each person has 3,796,647 square feet. That is 1,948.4986 by 1,948.4986 feet for each person. if each person stood in the center of there square they would be .3690 miles apart.

With 56 counties, 28 have zero reported cases, 8 have 1. That's 64.2857% of our counties with 1 or less cases.

We have 387 confirmed cases, or .00032095 of our population.
With 6 deaths that .00000561388 of our population

So far this year we have had 29 people die in traffic accidents.

I think all roadways should be shut down as deaths on the roads are 4.83333 times worse.

YES THIS IS A BAD THING! BUT WE HAVE TO BRING COMMON SINCE BACK INTO THE EQUATION

Here's the facts br Montana's population was 1,068... (show quote)

I, indeed, share some of your concerns. Unfortunately the planners all live in New York, DC and places like that.

My son lived in MT for 10 years but recently took a new job in SC. The towns in MT are rather small. Billings, one of the bigger places in MT still has a rather small airport -just a few gates. Bozeman has a bigger and very nice airport due to tourist travel to Yellowstone and elsewhere. In Helena, the capital, you can drive up to the capital grounds an easily park across the street. When I visited the capital a couple of years ago no one was at the door to check for firearms etc. There are a number of homes many miles from other buildings. There social distancing is the norm.

I live near a small city in another state (not MT). We, too, have very few cases in our area.

At present only 0.0015% of humanity has perished from COVID-19. About 150 times this number of folks die from other infectious diseases each year.

It will be interesting to see if the number of people that die from poverty, starvation, suicide, etc. caused by government policy exceeds those who die from COVID-19. We won't know this answer for some time. I do know that one dimensional think often gets one in trouble from an unexpected cause.

It would be interesting to know how many would have died without lock down....

Poverty, starvation, suicide, etc are the result of human action, and have absolutely no connection or relevance here. Decisions for Montana are made in Montana, not in DC. Complain to the local decision makers, not here!

You men without a lock down, would infections have stopped even though people would have continued to mix and mingle with no regard for the infection of others?

What do you imagine would have ever stopped the spread of the virus if left unchecked? A “Trump miracle”, or maybe just the course of nature?

Nothing interesting about it.

By the way, common sense isn't.

"You men without a lock down" like we have no lock down? We do have a lock down. It's not really imposed but people take their responsibility. What I was trying to say if you let the virus unchecked, lot's of people would die...

One size does not fit all. But coming up with different plans for different places would require a lot of thinking and trusting the rabble to use common sense.
