I agree. UHH is not a political forum. Use Facebook for that!

If the state of Montana was not close, People from all over the United States would be moving into Montana to get away from COVID 19. Which would up tick of dead and cases of COVID 19. That would cause a over load on the hospial in Montana. So Montana would end up as bad as New York City. So the shut down has kept the people of Montana safe from having a major out brake of COVID 19. Remember it to save people, not to save money.

Indeed they do. Government decisions often decide who lives and dies. Depriving people of of the ability to make a living will cause some to die. Independent of that there is COVID. It is also true that you are far more likely to die of something unrelated to COVID in the near future.

You can dial down your privacy settings and not just click on what you don't want to keep popping up. You do have to take responsibility for your settings. I do not friend anyone I don't already know. Number of friends is not a contest for me. I follow only topics that are of interest to me. If a friend sends objectionable (to me) content, I block them.

I don't go for friend count either, that's why I don't have a FB link on my website.

I don't post any political crap, but some of my friends do. I just ignore the posts. I've only had to block two rancid people, who happened to be friends of friends. As for my friends, I let them have their opinion.
Other than mandatory "public" information, I have my page limited to "friends of friends", only so my unfound friends can find me. Since I do our high school class website, I need friends of friends setting for that also. Mostly it's my friends friends, or rare acquaintances, that are ever so opinionated. SO much hate out there on FB ... I've had one or two F of F block me because they could not handle my opinion, which was not nasty. It just didn't align with their point of view! (So small.)
I feel sorry for so many people, and SO glad I'm not them.

One size does not fit all. But coming up with different plans for different places would require a lot of thinking and trusting the rabble to use common sense.

There are different plans for different places. Each state makes its own plan, and a few haven't shut down, and the exact rules differ from state to state.

What this site needs is a no-holds-barred sex, drugs, politics, money, and religion forum. Make it a good free for all between the dope fiend, free-sex commie liberals, the right wing nut job religious Bible thumper hypocrites, the rich country club Republicans, the uneducated middle class Trumper populists, the anti-fun crowd, the college student radicals, the Freedom From Religion Foundation, and teenage loose wimmin!

Pardon me. I’ve been reading too much P.J O’Rourke and Hunter S. Thompson lately.

Sense is the key operator, a typo. (auto-corrupt)

Here's the facts
Montana's population was 1,068,778 in 2019, We have 145,552 square miles of LAND, this does not include any water. That means there are 7.3429 people per square miles.

There is 27,878,400 square feet in a square mile, so each person has 3,796,647 square feet. That is 1,948.4986 by 1,948.4986 feet for each person. if each person stood in the center of there square they would be .3690 miles apart.

With 56 counties, 28 have zero reported cases, 8 have 1. That's 64.2857% of our counties with 1 or less cases.

We have 387 confirmed cases, or .00032095 of our population.
With 6 deaths that .00000561388 of our population

So far this year we have had 29 people die in traffic accidents.

I think all roadways should be shut down as deaths on the roads are 4.83333 times worse.

YES THIS IS A BAD THING! BUT WE HAVE TO BRING COMMON SINCE BACK INTO THE EQUATION

Here's the facts br Montana's population was 1,068... (show quote)

Low population density means a slower spread...it doesn’t mean no spread

I see it as just bad spelling, not a typo. There are two wrong letters, and the i and e keys are pretty far apart.

Auto-correct selecting the incorrect?

Auto correct shouldn't swap a common, correctly spelled word for another, especially if it is considering the grammatical context.
