Puzzle Glue?

There is a shortage of puzzle glue, no one has any. Are there alternatives that you use? I am thinking about trying some Elmers glue because that is available by the gallon. I have plenty of puzzles right now, but only enough glue for maybe 5 of them.

I don't think Elmer's is strong enough. Try Decoupage. Amazon might have it, they have everything else

Home Depot. Gorilla glue.

I have used Elmer' WOOD glue to assemble a table top over 40 years ago
and Gorilla glue about 6 or 7 years ago. Both seem to work well.

Gorilla Glue - available at HD /Lowe’s or any hardware store. A small squeeze bottle should be fine. A little dap will do ya.

With Elmer's it's not so much a matter of holding as it's plenty strong enough but rather the fact that it will yellow over time.

I have fixed more things successfully with Gorilla Glue than any other glue, including Super Glue..

I've never done it, but what about the spray adhesive used to mount photos on mount board to frame pictures?

Elmers Carpenter Glue works well. I've found Gorilla Glue will foam and run a bit as it cures.

Apply a large overall sticky patch on the back. You don't need glue. You can get this material online.

I am interested, would you please send a link. The only thing I find on line is cloth patches for kids to stick to their clothes.

Be careful if yo use Gorilla Glue. It tends to expand while drying. Hence the importance of using exceptionally sparingly. Also important to clamp tightly while drying. For extra bonding power you dampen a side of the pieces being glued. The water somehow acts as a catalyst and strengthens the bond. Be forewarned though. If you dampen the material the stuff sort of foams and REALLY expands when setting up. Clamping for about 8 hours is crucially important then.
