Can still get out for walks. City parks are restricted for use. I may try to exercise by playing a few holes of disc golf if allowed. Play areas are shut down, as are basketball courts for obvious reasons. Hard to do and maintain social distancing. Not a problem with disc golf. County parks are closed as far as I know. State parks and camping remains open. Biggest concern remains shopping. Majority are compliant and respectful of the 6' distance between people, but there is always someone that thinks the rules are for others. They are usually reminded. lol
The list of "essential businesses" that are allowed to remain open is fairly lengthy. Just hoping we do have to go beyond this. Stay covered and safe.

Went to a Hospital, evaluated new proposed treatment rooms for use. Went to another and did the same. Wrote some reports, did drawings with noted for corrections of deficiencies. Met with internal construction staff and got work started.
Also worked on an emergency design for a helipad for transport from rural areas to a trauma hospital.
That was my day today with calls and a couple of Skype meetings.
Tomorrow meetings on Covid 19 and progress in preparation for various sites.
Friday-Sunday no work, taking time off. Taking photos, raking leaves and spring cleaning.
Two adult children laid off and now call wife several times a day because they are bored.

Reading posts and responding more to UHH.
Too cloudy and chilly out for yard work or photography. Watching a lot of grade b Netflix junk.
I'm gonna start trying different recipes, baking, etc. Gas prices are down as low as 1.67 a gal., but there's nowhere to go until I get my truck back from the collision center. Idiot made a left turn in front of me March 5th.

We have social distancing, going on 19 days now. Not shut down, but restaurants not serving and few are doing take out. Have to search for take out.
We live in a warm climate, been in 80's for last few weeks, so lots of opportunity for outside work. Got all of my spring planting done, fortunately Lowes and HD are essential. Grocery shopping requires more than one stop, it's like a search.
We have a Miata, so many days we go out in the Miata for a top down sanity ride.
Taking time to clean up in prep for moving in the fall.
Little TV, mostly just daily briefings.
Some writing to the politicians who are not heeding the guidelines of management at county level. Treating the entire state like NYC is an invitation to disaster when we have few cases and have been on social distancing for three weeks. Trying to stop the negative thoughts about football season :)
Well and happy.

Due to back surgery on St.Patrick's Day, I am pretty much house bound. Walking is not without some discomfort. and also is very tiring. Weather has been iffy to good, but not really in the mood to torture myself by walking. I did get to the doctor's office today for removal of the staples and incision evaluation. I do have the daily physical therapy exercises to do, but may be changing a bit and going to a physical therapist office for some different exercises.

On the plus side, I will be staying away from potential CoVid-19 infected persons, thus staying healthy. The other plus, I know I'll be in much better shape to get out and explore photographic sites when this all blows over and we return to normal. Whatever that may be.

I'm certainly not looking at this as a lockdown. I'm free to wander about and take photos. I may go out of town this weekend to do that.

The problem for you is that the experts are now saying that something like a fourth of those infected with the virus are carriers - they look no different than any other person you see, so the only safe way to avoid getting the virus is to stay away from all people.

You must get close enough to look deep into their eyes, and down their throat. Within 3 to 10 days you will know if they were a carrier. If so,then you too can play the game, 'Pass it On'.

Maybe I should qualify my situation a bit more. If I go out for PT, it will be one on one and the therapist will most likely wear a mask and have me wearing one also. That would occur only two to three times a week for an hour or so per visit. In addition, there has been only one confirmed case of the virus in our county which is very rural with the population rather small and spread out. Finally without the PT I could heal much more slowly and less efficiently leaving me no better off than I was before the surgery. In my mind that is not a viable or acceptable option. My back problem has been aggravating me by increasing symptomolgy and pain for over 20 years. Based on that, I'll take my chances.

Spring in ATL smells like pine pollen. The floating pollen transforms all car paint colors to yellow. Watching time slip through my fingers. My flowering almond trees were literally buzzing with hundreds of bees. You could hear their chorus from at least 50 feet. And quickly gone as the blooms faded. The flowering cherry trees are just past peak. Some azaleas in bloom. Daffodils still blooming. Flowering Plum and many others already gone. Visited a park across from a nearby Walmart. The Canada Geese were happy for some bread. A few ducks. Maybe a dozen species of birds joined in songs to welcome the pre-sunrise yesterday AM. Keep seeing lost photo ops for these spring months. Taking nothing for granted. Working to experience and enjoy little and large things of life.
