I feel for people who live in apartments in the big cities. I’m in a semi-rural area and if it wasn’t snowing would be able to go for a walk. Since it is I’m predicting the shop/garage will look the best it has in years. Building a headboard, a task I’ve set aside fo most of a year. Reorganizing the photo closet. How about all of you.

Nothing has changed for me. The company I work for is considered an essential business.
So I have been going to work everyday. Luckily we don't have any contact with the public, so that is one good thing. We even have a paper that gives us permission to travel, in case we are stopped by any authorities.

Working at an "essential" business (Lowe's). We all know that mowers, mulch, plants & flowers are essential, right?

I'm able to walk the neighborhood but running out of photo ops. Although all of Arizona is on lock down I can still wander around the desert so far without being challenged. Maybe go down to the Santa Cruz river tomorrow and see what happens. Have to go to Safeway for groceries and that is my major risk.

Everybody hang loose and try to find fun every day. Go sit in the yard and smell the spring.

Old retired and poor so not much has changed for us. I spend the mornings gardening or working on the "honey do list" and the afternoons in futile effort photographing, videoing (is there such a word as videoing?) aerial combat. The painted ladies (small butterflies) have started their migration and the phoebes and flycatchers are feasting. This interaction is somewhat easy to capture with a wide angle lens, but I am trying for midair capture using 400 & 800mm. The videos will make you dizzy and most of the photos are blurry. I want that moment when the birds mouth is wide open and the butterfly is evading.

Bundle up and go for a walk in the snow - snowflake. You might find some great photo ops.

My friend and I (High School winter of 62-63) went rabbit hunting at 8° F wind chill of -20 in a foot of fresh snow. The rabbits were smarter than us, they didn't come out. When I went back in the nice warm, moist air of the farm house frost formed on my shotgun barrel and lasted over 1/2 hour.

I normally stay home and read or on the computer except necessary store runs etc.
But now my wife and whole family says I am not allowed to go out - I want to!!! But I'm not. I even ordered my bird seed for delivery at $2 a bag more than I pay at the store. I just put out the last I had and the delivery is scheduled for later today.

All the kitchen knives are sharp again, fixed the plugin on moms old waffle iron, (works fine now), the large mouth bass are biting down at the Oak Run resort, something I haven't taken to the time to get back into for way to long,, met some new friends on my evening walks, and the list goes on. As the old adage goes, there is a silver lining around every gray cloud!

Completing projects that I’ve been putting off for too long. Built a cabinet for my wife’s cosmetics, fixed the fountain and spillway for the Koi pond, and now I have the ham radio antenna tower tilted over and fixing antennas and rotors. When that is finished, I’m going to clean up the attic, and then some painting. That should take me at least 2-3 more weeks, maybe longer if I include an occasional afternoon nap. Might even take some photos - everything is in bloom. Plenty to do...

Primarily working in the yard pulling some weeds which are 3-4' tall. Getting ready to till the soil before planting a new garden for vegetables.

Arizona is like most states. The local media misrepresents the stay at home orders.

"Trails, campgrounds and cabins remain open for responsible use. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy outdoor recreation experience for our visitors but ask that our visitors follow guidelines from the CDC and the Arizona Department of Health Services. We are monitoring the situation around COVID-19 and the impact of coronavirus for our state."

Good to know. Everybody always follows the requested guidelines.

I have looked at the guidelines/regulations for a number of states. It is not unusual to not only see getting out into the open areas acceptable, but encouraged. Entrance fees are often waved statewide.
