who has an alternative for t.p.
Try old very Used Paperback books. Softer paper.
‘War and Peace’ is very economical. 😁
Sears catalog, The New York Times, The Washington Post, etc.
We also had 40 cases of Hillary Clinton's new book come in, highly recommended for T.P.
Order a batch online from your local grocery chain. When they get a shipment thy hold it for you.
The real problem with the coffee filter concept is that it makes the coffee taste funny...

We have about two rolls left. There isn't a store around that has any. So what do we use of instead of tp??
Remember we are both old (over eighty) and both of us have tender butts so catalogs are out and so are coffee filters, tried them, really bad news.
A friend of mine did good by mail ordering / on line ordering from Staples office supply.
Give them a try.
Best of luck.
Someone on Facebook suggested using your bare left hand and then you will be more inclined to wash your hands and less inclined to touch your face.

Wow - what a bunch of wusses! There are many parts of the world where you cannot put whatever you use for toilet paper into the toilet. Even "in the old days" along the coast of Maine where pipes went from the toilets down to somewhere below the low tide line. If you put toilet paper in the toilet it would plaster itself on the rocks.... So - it is not a big deal to keep a garbage can with a plastic bag in it next to the toilet and put your used paper towel pieces in that. I work in a government building, and paper towels would be much better than the government toilet paper in our building!
Another alternative - if you cannot find toilet paper, get a big block of cheddar cheese and carve off a big chunk of that and eat it every day. You won't need toilet paper more than once a week - and even then, when you go, you really won't need toilet paper!

Paper towels increase the change of clogging the pipes, so I'd recommend facial tissue (Kleenex.)

Facial tissue is treated so that it doesn't disintegrate quickly when it gets wet. Toilet paper is designed to do that to prevent clogged pipes. I learned this on a school tour of a paper mill. I wouldn't put a lot of Kleenex down my toilet.

Out local Walmart lists their inventory online. I checked before opening 2 days ago. They had many choices. I got there st 7AM. The store had many people with TP in their shopping carts. I got one of the last 3 packs of 6. Next time I see this, I'll be there at 6AM.
You're in Texas so all your neighbors will help. A nationwide survey shows Winco and Target have the best T P supply. Winco has their own brand, a 12 pack, and a Target employee hands one each 6 pack of Angel Soft rolls that have 4 times a normal roll. I was skeptic but bought one each from both. I had resolved that if I ran out of T P i would turn the shower head to the pressure setting and rinse there. I did test the two local newspapers and some junk mail to find the softest. I was a machine gunner in the army so i will not scare you with what I had to do then, ouch, bummer. PUN INTENDED

Well, when we had an outhouse I remember the Sears-Roebuck catalog worked well.
