Well, if you can’t buy hand sanitizer, you could sanitize with cheap booze.

Actually you can't - not enough alcohol.

Mine is red flexible and several feet long. I won’t miss from my yard it until I try to water the lawn.🤪

John - Have you ever heard of "Everclear"? Here's the citation from Wickipedia:

Everclear is a brand name of rectified spirit (also known as grain alcohol and neutral spirit) produced by the American company Luxco (formerly known as the David Sherman Corporation). It is made from grain[1] and is bottled at 120, 151, 189, and 190 U.S. proof (60%, 75.5%, 94.5% and 95% alcohol by volume, respectively).[2] Due to its market prevalence and high alcohol content, the product has become iconic, with a "notorious reputation" in popular culture.[3][4] Sale of the 190-proof variation is prohibited in some states, which led Luxco to start selling the 189-proof version.[5][6]

It is illegal to sell or purchas in many states but I think the strongest versions would probably do a number on COVID-19.

Saw a report last week that during the Spanish Flu (I know, racist, but what else are you gonna call it?) epidemic that swept the world cities used various methods to limit its spread. Milwaukee was described as having one of the best records in minimizing infections. They closed schools and churches, but left saloons open.

Yeah, limited data set, but it's a starting point.

There's some evidence that the "Spanish flu" actually started at Fort Reilly, Kansas. It didn't start in Spain.

The person I replied to specified "cheap booze". Most cheap liquor isn't strong enough. Maybe Everclear is cheap, I don't know.

I read that, too. But we were engaged in WWI at the time and there were restrictions on publishing things like that (newspapers took military classification rules seriously back then.) So most of what COULD appear in newspapers about the epidemic supposedly came out of Spain. And given the long standing practice of naming plagues for the places they originated (or appeared to originate, or were most associated with), "Spanish Flu" it was.

Correct, but the US apparently didn't go to any trouble to clear that up after the war. We probably wouldn't if it happened today either.
