Basil, you listed a Canon T-70 film camera. I had a film Elan camera. Does your T-70 have the "eye tracking", where the camera actually watches for 'where you are looking'? I loved that, for I could move my eyes left, then right, and the auto focus would adjust to what I was actually looking at. Does your T-70 have that too?

No, it sure doesn't (although that does sound like a neat feature for any camera). I bought my T-70 in 1984 when I was stationed overseas on a remote site - needed a hobby to fight the boredom. It was one of Canon's first cameras with digital controls and several modes. It is actually a pretty nice llittle camera.

I think it would be so great if the DSLRs had the 'eye tracking focus'.

Until you mentioned it, I didn't know such a thing existed.

I feel poor, I'm down to only two cameras. I have a Nikon D800e and a D300 with a wide variety of lenses.

I primarily use the D800 for everything but when I go into the desert the D300 is nice because if it gets too dusty I'm not worried about it. ( I never take my lenses off when in a dusty area )

I own a Sony RX10 mark iv and a Leica C-lux.

I use the Sony as my primary camera for trips, workshops and when Sam doing finer work.

I use the Leica as my point & shoot when I need a camera I can put in my pocket.

I am happy with both.
