Even being retired and staying home I don’t have enough time to list types and I lost count. My last physical count was 343 and have bought many more. In my room I have 140+ on displayed and just got my old Kodak 8x10 displayed. I have a beast that the ground glass looks like a picture window that is a 12x22 with one film holder. I can’t display it being to large so having a guy coming out that wants it. My main collection is Nikon. Have 53 so far. Can’t afford the F5 or F6 yet. Most of these were given to me for my collection. I even have my very first camera is a 1957 Lica M2 that my Uncle gave me in 1960.

your collection seems to be equal to mine , F5 is easy to find at cheapest price , F6 still has price over $1000 , we have to wait

Too many! But all Sony mirrorless; full frame, APS-C and 1" sensor cameras.

"Need" is probably too strong. "Fun" is probably more appropriate. One full spectrum modded for IR and astrophotography, one monochrome modded for B&W, one full frame for full frame stuff, one APS-C because it is my grab 'n go, one with long reach, 24-600mm, for those faraway shots, ...

3 Nikons:

D800e my high MPx body. Used for documentation and high resolution needs. Some landscape use.

D4 my normal usage body. Good for general use and high ISO work.

D5 my high ISO body. Slightly better than the D4 for high ISO but not as good as the D4 for normal ISO ranges, as the dynamic range is a bit less.

1 Apple iPhone 8+:
The camera I usually have with me. This camera takes more accidental photos of my foot than all the others combined.

I am glad someone else does that too.... Especially with the camcorders hanging around the neck and forgetting to push the ON/OFF button. Many many times hhahaahahaa

You ever hear of "collectors"? Coins, stamps, cars, watches, cameras, etc etc. You collect things to admire them, appreciate how things were made "once upon a time", and, EVEN USE THEM.

I have 30 cameras ranging from earl 70's film to late model digital. So what? You do whatever you want.

Glad to see someone else started out with a Spotmatic, great camera, and a survivor for photo journalism! I'll be keeping it for the memories.

Over the past two years I've purged my office of everything except my Sony's and the Spotmatic. Amazing how much equipment one can accumulate over 55+ years!

I have at least 2 Konica 35mm cameras that are in a closet. Then there is the 80D (primary camera), SX50HS, T2i, and a Panasonic DMC-ZS100 I keep in my car!
80D - the best quality and features
T2i - still works well
SX50 HS - has the longest reach (1200mm equiv) and is very handy
DMC-ZS100 better sensor than SX50, most portable

Basil, you listed a Canon T-70 film camera. I had a film Elan camera. Does your T-70 have the "eye tracking", where the camera actually watches for 'where you are looking'? I loved that, for I could move my eyes left, then right, and the auto focus would adjust to what I was actually looking at. Does your T-70 have that too?

I have the Canon EOS Elan 7E that has the eye focus. I gave up my T-90 that was , I think the last FD, because my eyes weren't good enough to focus manually and the Elan was one of the best Canon at auto focusing, or so the salesman told me. I wish now that I had not traded in the T-90, but probably wouldn't have used it again.
