nice pick up. Try it and see how you like it. Not sure if the Sigma is a DX lens. Your top end Sony APS-C camera is the a77ii. But if if you want top image quality then go for the a99ii. It is full frame and will shoot DX lenses as "super35" It also has image stabilization. On the other end of the scale you could opt for a a6000 and Sony LA-EA2 or LA-EA3 adapter. But the a6500 will have image stabilization. Or the a6600 will have full image stabilization and the superfast focus of the A9ii. But for about the same price as the a6600 you can get the FF a7iii. It does everything the a6600 but is full frame. Like most Sony FF cameras it will convert DX image to super35. I never had the Sony 350 but had A57 and then a A65. Both were good image producers. Happy shooting

sounds like a good price for that lens I used an A65 for years till I upgraded to the A99II very happy with it
This is the perfect example Minolta "beer can" with sony a6000 and L2 sony adapter the old lenses still Rock.
Their praises and capabilities have been sung often..... it is a great way to work into a fine system. I have a beer can too, wonderful old lens (have probably 15-16 Minoltas for the Sony cameras), and even use some of my Nikon, Yashica, Pentax and 3rd party lenses when I feel like experimenting (and some adapters). The models I have are all with IBIS (in body image stabilization) so even old full manual lenses are stabilized, and the focus highlighting makes them easy to focus quickly... make excellent photos!!! Enjoy!
I disagree the Sony A 350 is still a functional decent camera....maybe this guy would consider a 64 corvette almost worthless also. The point to me is that at one time ....yes a few years back this was a top of the line camera, I question whether all the bells and whistles on the newer cameras are needed for the average photog out there do you really think you are going to make hour long videos, do you even make videos and how large of a print will you make if 8x10 is as large as you go the A350 is fine, lots of lenses at good prices! Just my 2 cents worth, the camera is a tool and a lot of how well the tool works depends on the operator!

I will agree with you the pictures with this camera looked really good. I was told by another member here, is the operator not the camera that will produce great pictures.

Nice picture is the tamron G1 or G2?
G2. I got it from Adorama last spring on sale in a bundle that included software, a footed monopod and a bunch or other goodies. It took me several months to pay for it. On my FB page Oshkosh '19 album, I have a pic of a P-51 ("Gunfighter") that was chosen as Picture of the Week for an aviation e-newsletter. I shot it at 150 mm from the front row of the show line. Nineteen (?) of them came down the taxiway in a long line, turned to the right 30-45 degrees and "let-r-rip". Good thing I had my hearing protectors!!!!!!!!!!! I really need to add more pics to my album...didn't realize I only had 1/2 dozen images in it. One of my favorite pics is one of 4 Blue Angels in a diamond formation from a few years ago. I had it printed on aluminum from Bay Photo and it's hanging on my wall.

Gunfighter or Angels? Here's the P-51. I'd have to find the Blue Angels pic and might take me a while. I had this pic framed at a custom shop I work with for my rare good shots. I have it double-matted in olive and yellow. Just need to find a good space on my wall to pound a nail into. Looks like you have a bit of purple c/a on the bird wings, but I can't download it. I took a cool shot of an eagle when I went to Alaska, but the light was fully behind the bird and almost couldn't fix it at all (still unhappy with the effort). I play around with the settings all the time...sometimes they work out and sometimes not.

Nice picture the Angel's should be the one to see. I know the purple in the wings is still work on progress. I did it with LightRoom, but is the free app. Here's the original picture
The best A mount camera for the lens is likely the Alpha 77 II. It is 24 mp and a great camera. Sony has an A Mount full frame but I would not spend $3500 to use with an unknown cheap lens.
Whether the camera is mirrorless or not is irrelevant.
I wouldn't call a Sigma 'Big Sig" an 'unknown cheap lens'. You'll probably find a lot of 'BIF' shooters and pro sports shooters using it!
I came across a super deal at the flea market. A sigma 150-500 with a Sony A350 for $300.00 is this a good set for wildlife?. The guy called the lens Sigmamonster the lens is huge. My question to the experts here is which camera will better with this lens. It will be nice to hear from any DSLR owners.
If that is the price for both items, the lens alone is worth more than that! Buy it quick and sell the body to some beginner for $100-$150.
