Number 2, slightly adjusted exposure or number 4

Number 1 is wonderful but the other two are more a story

These three are my favorites

#1 is excellent, but, #2 is beyond perfect.

#1 is your strongest shot. #4 has good promise as it includes environment - if you can work on the composition.

I think #1 is by far the better photo of the group, but if a less-posed picture is desired, I'd go with #4.

#2 for me, Cindy. It has a very nice blurred foreground and sharp subject. It does not look like the typical "snapshot" image we frequently see.

Yes, it is a hard decision - #4 does it for me for a GOOD wildlife photo - you might open the shadows a bit tho for more detail....

Since #1 and #2 were taken in a park area similar to a zoo (in my opinion), I would go with a real wildlife shot, either #4 or #5, although I prefer #4.

Let us know which one you finally chose, and how it did. Inquiring minds want to know.

Cindy: Is there any way that you can find out what the last 3 or 4 contest winners photos were and if the same person/people will be judging? Then if it were me I think I would probably lean somewhat in that direction if the winners are similar each year.

All of your shots are great but I think #1 really does it for me. They are a wonderful set of pictures. I hope you win!

#3 bull moose would be as good as anything entered to date. Keep in mind that judges generally want an animal to be in some kind of motion or a pose off it's front feet. The shot of the bison and its background would compete with your moose. Your shot of the ram is by far better than anything else entered. Are you limited in the number of entries you may submit? Keep in mind that great photos are often overlooked in contests because contests are just contests of interest and nothing else. Nice work Cindy.
