Easiest way is to simply send as a message. On the android phone, go into the gallery where the photo is and choose the share icon. Then select message and the recipient. Another option is to send via bluetooth directly to the iPhone. Again, using the gallery and share, select bluetooth. I can give you better instructions when I am back at home.

...this is it. It's called "mms" and, depending on carrier (I'm Consumer Cellular and it gets wonky, but the *main* carriers should have no problema) you may have to set her APN settings up. Easy to do, just takes a call to the carrier. Once your set up it's easy-peesy!

If you have a USB data/charge cable to fit each phone and you have a Windows-based computer with two available USB ports, you can connect both to the computer at the same time and use the computer to transfer the files from one to the other. Note that the iPhone may require iTunes to be installed in order for you to access it from your computer. This is the method I use. I don't know if it will work with a Mac. Good luck with whatever method you try.

Let me repeat.

IPHONE IS READ-ONLY.

I have an iPhone8.
Yes, I can run USB cable from computer to iPhone.
Yes, I can see DCIM directory/folder.
Yes, I can copy a JPEG from iPhone to computer.
NO, NO, NO, I cannot copy anything from computer to iPhone.
If I copy on computer, paste is grayed out on iPhone.
If I drag file from computer to iPhone, it bounces back to computer.
I am guessing this is a 'virtual' folder - Apple has created software that looks like data.
Let me repeat. br br IPHONE IS READ-ONLY. br br ... (show quote)

Apple's iOS has always isolated ("sandboxed") its operating system from the user, so it's very difficult to hack it, install malware, erase important files, etc. Your data has a "one-way exit" policy for most purposes.

I have tried to find out how to get photos transmitted from my wife’s Android phone into my iPhone?

The only hidden method found is for her to attach photo files to an email to me. That is impractical due to e-mail rules of allowing less that two attached files or the attempt will not be capable to send!?

An suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!! 😁

Can she download to a computer ? If she can then it might be possible for you to upload from it to your iPhone either one or many photos.

To get the photo from your computer to your iPhone, you have to place it in the "cloud" that your iPhone uses. You can do this with a Mac, a MacBook, or other PC with the Apple cloud software loaded on it. I used to do this on my old PC running windows, but it was clunky. Then I changed to a Mac and it all became very easy. Apple marketing at its finest.......

As I have already said, getting to the “One Drive” was trivial from my Windows machine and easy from my Linux machine and my iPhone.

As GLKTN posted, the best, easiest, and fastest way is to use NFC. You don't need a computer, email, dropbox or even WIFI. It's device to device. If both of your devices are three years or less age, they should both have it. You will need to turn it on in the hardware settings.

I use One drive and Google photos most of the time and use email or MMS text for 1-2 quick files. I pay for my MS 365 acct so I have a 1TB limit and Google is unlimited if you allow compression. If I want to keep the highest resolution then One drive is the choice. I no longer keep many photos on my phone as they auto sync to both locations. Once sync happens the originals come off. I also have an old phone as a viewer that has access to both sites. You do not need a SIM card that's valid in the phone to connect to a home WiFi router.

I find that the free download of WeTransfer (wetransfer.com) works well for sharing large files. Super easy to use.

[quote=chevman]Try the transfer app in the app store for apple and for the android in the app store for android. Here is how it works: http://phototransferapp.com/help/android/transfer_photos_from_idevice_to_android/
It works great, and as Paul says Dropbox also works as well.

Photoransfer is a great app I use it all the time as I have an aAndroid phone and iPads.

I've not done this myself (although I use an iPhone) but here is an older video of the process. You are not setting up the iPhone from scratch, so wouldn't be resetting your phone to factory settings, erasing its content, etc. I'd ignore that part. Look in the info underneath the video and he mentioned the app you need to download onto your Android in order to do this process. I don't know if things have changed since the video was made... but you might get on the right path with some information gleaned here...
