I think you are probably RIGHT...again. I wonder if I could “trade” my x-t2& my cx t20 & my x-a3 all barely used, for an x- t4. I’ve got a fair amount. Of lenses, that would all fit a new x-t 4. Rjm

NO, in my opinion, the D500 is the sweetest crop format camera of the crowd, many, many, many more lenses to choose from and a knock out for birds in flight. And, with a double battery with the vertical grip, I can shoot all day. Since I know what I'm doing, most of the time I do not use VR. Oh, below is a Green Heron taking nesting material to the misses.
I think Fuji is a great street camera, and can probably handle landscape and portrait as well.
It's in the wildlife category it starts to fall apart.
So outside of shooting sports or wildlife ... a very good choice.

The Fujifilm X-T4 seems like a near perfect MILC. Though only marginally different from a X-T3. Most of the difference is in usability, in IQ virtually unchanged.

Boy, you sound like maybe you're a "remainer"? The advantage today of a Japan build is they probably won't be held up by the coronavirus scare, at least not for as long as anything coming out of China. And if they are held up, it's still China's fault due to their dismal health care, and the inherent dishonesty of all Communist regimes.
And, as China is a competitor, to put it mildly, many of us "annoying" Yanks, don't feel especially compelled to have our economy dependent on the Chinese. We didn't kick you guys out so we could be under China's thumb. Oh, and did I mention Communism sucks.
Oh, and if you're an animal lover, look up the issues many of us here have suffered by thinking that pet food and treats manufactured in China are the "same quality" as those made in the good old USA.
To everyone else, sorry for feeding the troll.

Consider for a moment that SARS MERS and now COvid19, ALL originated in China. Why are all these NEW deadly diseases coming from China? Are these GMO viruses escapees from laboratories? Are the Chinese working on bio weapons? I don't believe that animals are developing new viruses only in China. Do you?

We may never know. All the more reason to bring more manufacturing jobs home, at least until China decides to grow up and become responsible members of civilization.
I'm hoping they will someday, but I'm not holding my breath.

I think that some people DO know, but that information is being witheld from us for obvious reasons. Corona virus disease is found in dogs and we have very effective vaccines for it. It would be a very good candidate for genetic manipulation if one were developing an effective mass bioweapon to incapacitate but not overkill a population. (For instance China would love to have something that could incapacitate Taiwan, so that they could simply walk in and take it over with minimal force. In fact, under the guise of rendering medical assistance)

Not a surprise. They are adding on some of the same things that the 4/3rds photographers liked along with Fuji's innovative slant on them. What's not to be like!

I believe China makes a lot of stuff.

I'm not one myself but I believe that there are still a few anti-communists around somewhere. Maybe they care more about that than growing up. I will say one thing. China is probably the only nation that can compete with us economically. Harry PS Certainly not Britain, France, Germany or Russia. Maybe Japan but none from South America yet. Harry

I don't think I will like the fully articulated screen. Am not into selfies, and don't understand why such a complicated screen will be anything but a headache. Tilt, like the XT2 has, is just fine - lets you shoot high and low without standing on a chair or lying on the ground. but twisting and flipping every which way is nonsense in my book.
