Has anyone had a manual printed up by Kinko, Office Depot or the like? There's so much to the manual I'd like to have it printed with a spiral binding so that it will lay out flat and I can have it with me at all times when I'm out learning to be a photographer.
Once again, thanks folks

Rick

I used Staples to print out the Lightroom help manual. You can send it online at Staples.com. I think it was around $20 but you would have to check that. It was fairly heavy and not something I would have ever wanted to "cart around." You can teach google for photography cheat sheets for your camera and this may help.

Yes! After it is printed they "jog" it so all of the pages are even and lined up. Then they cut the holes, put on the covers and run the spiral wire. Depending on the number of pages, somewhere between $6 - $10

Most would rather use books from the likes of Darrel Young, which are so much more thorough than the owners manual.

Why print it? Download it in PDF to your computer and if you want print the pages you really need.

A few years ago I had a manual printed for my Canon SX50. I got it printed through "otcworld.co.uk" in spiral binding. It ran about $22 or so including shipping.

I cannot imagine reading any manual while taking pictures. I cannot imagine having time to look through a manual while taking pictures. Maybe afterwards, but not in the field.

I found "47 Things You Need to Know" on Amazon, and downloaded it to my Kindle, which fits IN my camera bag (which 341 pages, even two-sided, won't). Runnyblood

As a printer I've always had access to various binding options with coil binding my favorite for manuals. Comb binding tends to get crushed and won't fully "flip backwards" when opened.

Sometimes the manuals are smaller than 8½x11 and the service can trim them down for you.

If you print just what you need at home, then you can take it to one of the copy centers to have it bound -- usually less then $5.00 but you can check around. We charged $5.00 for the first copy and $3.00 for additional of same size unless the manuals were really thick.

Most services will also have clear plastic covers for a small additional charge -- they are well worth it.
