I really need help with LR. Everything was fine until I did an update. Now I seem to have four catalogues. It's driving me crazy. If you'd be willing to take a look at my computer and help me out, please PM me. I'd be happy to pay you for your time.
BTW, I tried unsuccessfully to contact Adobe . . . I couldn't get to a real person.
I used to live in Yakima. Now it is Lacey.
The update did not create four catalogs. The hard part in a forum will be to figure out how you did that.
Phoning a software company with 14 million customers is going to be frustrating. Adobe has chosen to move to an online chat system. At Adobe "help" they will type back and forth with you and run your computer remotely if necessary.
Adobe also provides a user forum with some smart participants. That usually solves problems.
Can you back up and outline the steps you took prior to the update and after the update? What version and what computer? What are the names of the catalogs?

I would be really happy with an online chat. That’s what I was looking for today. I use LR Classic. The catalogues simply have numbers. As for being able to backtrack on my steps, I’m lost! I’m really hoping I can find someone close by that’ll be willing to sit down with me and the computer and sort it out!!
Thanks for taking time to respond.
This may be true, but I always get a human when I call. Spent about an hour with Lightroom staff the other day as she tried to assist with Lightroom Classic after the Catalina update wreaked havac.

I do not like the phone for Adobe, to long on hold and hard to understand. Chat is faster plus if they need to can take control of your computer to fix the issue.
BTW how about a screenshot of your settings. May help solve your problems.
Contact your local camera club, there should be at least one. Do a Google search on "camera clubs in Yakima". Someone should be glad to help you for free. Our local club is doing free classes in Photoshop and LR. Most clubs don’t require membership to attend a meeting. You could go as a guest and ask for help.

The Catalina update completely messed up my Lightroom. I was able to contact a human at Adobe—-he shared my computer and fixed my problem in about ten minutes.
Continue trying to TALK to someone at Adobe.
For those of you who succeed at talking to Adobe, what's the phone number?

How many catalogs did you have and were using before you updated?

Thanks! I'm putting that in my speed dial under "Lightroom".
For crying out loud, answer the OP's question, don't hijack it. When you open LR what is the list of catalogues available to you?

Only 1 but I’m sure I responsible for at least part of the problem!!

Can you tell me how to get to chat? What I’d really like is for them to take control of my computer remotely. That’d be faster than trying to walk me through the fix!
