I have had no Nikon issues at all. Brain farts a bunch. I am completely happy until I forget how I have it set.

I bought one used last year from KEH with 25k activations on it (has 33k now) and have not had a single issue with it. I love it.

What has piqued your interest in this particular model?
Features, price what?

If you can, go to the D750. Its autofocus is better in low light.

Price for a full frame camera the camera was marked down $1100.00 dollars for the kit bundle. I thought the camera was a good deal for the price I am a amature.

That's overpriced ... you can still get a D750 for that amount,do you have any Nikon lens already ,because both the 610 and D750 are full frame and require the correct lens to attain quality pix

Cheapest D750 with a lens I saw was around $1440, D610 around $900

Nikon forums for purchase and sale of all Nikon products ,if you have a Nikon camera currently there is a 300.00 dollar credit from Nikon also the trade in value will reduce price drastically, you can also choose to buy used .I purchased my D750 used with aprox 7k actuations the camera was not on shutter recall list have had no issues . The D610 is a good camera gives great colors i had one also ,I choose to upgrade to the D750 because grand children were bothered with flash . Thom Hogan has pdf you can download to optimize and learn all the functions of both the 610 and 750 in simple terms . Basically same body and same pixel if I am not mistaken just that the D750 has some more and better options . Google Thom Hogan and see his reviews of both cameras

That camera is discontinued. It was a replacement to the D600, which had some issues, oil leaks. After, a certain period of time passing. Nikon will not service repair their cameras, especially if there are no parts available. You, would be better off getting a D750, discounted, because of the release of its successor. The D780.

I think no matter what you are interested in there will always be pros and cons. No way around it.
My husband has a D610. Our son gave it to him when he bought a D850. In the year or so since he has had the D610 he has taken about 3-400 pictures. He has experienced no problems with the camera.

What I remember from doing research of the D610 was as follows. Some of the first released did have problems with oil spots getting on the sensor. That made me choose the D750 when moving from the D5500 to full frame. Currently there are many used D750s that were traded in when the D850 came out, this would be my choice. I thought the oil spots were on the D600. The D610 replaced that model and the oil spots.
