Op/Tech has lots of options that attach to the lugs. Some can easily convert from a neck strap to a cross-body shoulder strap.

Op Tech has a binocular strap (meant for a camera too) in stretchy or non stretchy fabric. It connects to your camera lugs and it distributes the weight evenly to shoulders and back and off your neck for a comfortable fit for hiking. The camera is easy to get to for a shot while you are hiking.

To sum up:
- Black Rapid
- Op Tech
- Peak Design

(order is just alphabetical)

Any of those are very good, check them and see what looks better for you. Or try them if you can.

I use a black rapid but I added a lead and connect the camera to a standard strap lug. The other end connects to my belt loop. Can't drop the camera and it shares the weight

I added a lead 17 Inch lead and a D ring on the black rapid. Shoe store charged 8 dollars to modify it.

I use a Black Rapids shoulder strap. I've recently become dissatisfied with how it attaches to the tripod socket. Any recommendations of a strap( other than the provided neck strap) would be appreciated. I want one that hooks to the neck strap lugs. If I had access to a sewing machine , I could easily adapt my current sling.

Another vote for Peak Design here. I prefer the Slide Lite. The full size Slide is marginally more comfortable, but it takes up a lot of room in my bag. The Slide Lite is is fine on my A7Riii. I leave anchor links on all my cameras and just need one strap.

I like their 'Lens Kit' lens carrier when I want to carry a second lens but don't want to bother with a bag.

I've tried several different straps and this one (PeakDesign "Slide") is by far my favorite. I bought extra anchors so that I can easily switch this one strap between three different camera bodies (6D, 7D2 and 5D4). It is very slick on one side, so you can carry the camera on your side and very easily pull it to your eye when needed. The other side of the strap had a more sticky ribbed surface for when you're hiking and just want it to stay put without any slipping around.

Just purchased the Peak Slide myself, waaay better than the factory supplied strap.

ANYTHING is better than an OEM strap. If you ever buy a used camera from me, you will also get it's OEM strap, never opened. Even a piece of rope is better! I'm an OpTech customer. Best of luck.

I hate having anything dangling from the camera, so I wanted a strap that you can easily remove when not in use. I use the UPstrap, which has very sturdy clips that attach to the standard metal loops provided on all my camera bodies. I only have one strap, and can easily move it from camera to camera. The UPstrap also has a great shoulder pad that won't slip off of your shoulder.

Why don’t you show us you setup on your camera I’m interested in seeing it?
