Thanks for your comments Chris. I've taken some of my best travel photos through the windows of buses and trains. I think the key is fast shutter speed, getting close to a clear spot on the window and focusing on something distant. I do delete a fair number of shots which can't be saved but with some creative cropping you end up with lots of keepers. I do take a very large number of images - 3,000+ during the week in Scotland alone.

Unfortunately Marin is no longer the gentle land of hot tubs and peacock feathers. Lots of our friends are thinking of leaving. I try and concentrate on the beauty and great weather and ignore the politics.

Thanks so much Tony. The last one was taken at right angles to the window as we passed. Fortunately, no glare or reflection. Glad I could bring back pleasant memories.
