I'm only asking since it wasn't all that long ago (in geologic terms) that there were only 10 million humans on the planet. So, what's the number? 8 Billion? 10? 30? how many?
Would it be self regulating at that point? I mean that many people and one little Ebola outbreak and there goes a half billion. Some worse little bug and God only knows. I saw a piece on the science of meteorites and wouldn't ya know that most that hit Earth are carrying alien microbes! No sh!t! And it rains meteorites all the time!
Of course you've got some choices....
You can fret time away worrying about it.
You can do nothing.
You can do something. I recommend drinking but maybe you'll come up with something better?
You can attempt to live your life to the fullest no matter how much fate or happenstance drags you down.
In the end it's all the same. You're dead and to quote one R. Gervais....there's no sequel!

We are the Boomers! The last generation to live high on the hog our entire lives. I give thanks every day for my time and place in the history of the world.

There may not be a global warming but I think we are getting further out of the last Ice Age as it's glaciers -
are surely melting. How about the now opening of the fabled Northwest Passage
This is the thing that is sort of endearing about you people. You think it matters who you can pin it on. That's why you guys melt down at ... "man made". Just blame it on Jesus and call it a miracle.

We are still in the last ice age.

I think it all started with the industrial revolution

That is my opinion - but on the tail end of it- how long ago did it start and when did it reach it's turning point from expanding to subsiding.

I see that you did not come up with something better. 'Tis a shame...
IHMO, I think of Climate Change, whether it's a naturally occurring process or not.....
This may be a tad far fetched but it gets to the gist of the argument.
I'm a farmer....it's raining....a lot.
The river at the back of my property has a levee that holds the water back.
it appears that the levee is in danger of collapsing.
Question:
Since this is a "natural cycle" do I ignore it or do I attempt to save my crops/land?
I think many people's opinion of Climate change revolves around the cost to understand/research//implement options, or do nothing?

Improve your levee or learn to swim.

Are you suggesting that you agree that we should research to see what the effects of this ... "naturally occurring climate process" are?
Maybe there are things we can do, maybe there aren't.
How would we know unless we do the research?

That’s insane, Tex. The younger folk have it great......ample food, a definition of poverty that many of us would have loved to have in, say, 1965, peace by any comparative definition, parents that fight their battles for them and pay their bills.........come on, man!
