California is burning because they do not practice good land management nor do they make proper investments in infrastructure. Fact is that the California legislature passed a law that would permit clearing brush around powerlines to create a firebreak and governor moonbeam vetoed it to please the environmental crazies. Instead of replacing ancient transmission lines PG&E invested in green energy and electric car filling stations. If California wants to be Dumba$$es then let them be Dumba$$es and suffer the consequences. Here in Florida we have done much to change the building codes made great investments to protect residents from hurricanes, same in Texas and the Gulf states, California still fights against practical solutions.

The fires are not burning in Pelosoi's district, which is basically the city of San Francisco.
Also, 57% of California forests are under Federal jurisdiction. 3% of the forests are under State jurisdiction and the balance in privately owned (by big lumber companies, mostly).
I know blaming California is pretty easy here in the MAGA Attic, but it is just misinformed.
Can you imagine the howlers screaming if I started blaming climate change denying Florida for the destruction brought by the increasing number and ferocity of hurricanes? The red state Midwest is suffering 500 year floods every decade or so...do I blame Iowa, mMissouri, etc.?
