I bought one a "Cross-Body" Shoulder strap called, "Rapid Fire", think I got it on eBay
Very Satisfied, comfortable, works well.
There are tons and tons camera straps available on the market. I recommend giving the Peak Design Slide a look.
https://www.peakdesign.com/products/slide?rfsn=1833992.a43774I love mine for its versatility and the several ways that it can be worn and ease of adjustment. with the anchor clips it comes with (4) means you can use it for one than one camera or for other things.

Pardon me, please, for not being absolutely what does or does not constitute a "shoulder" strap, but I love my
sling straps made by Peak Design.
https://www.peakdesign.com/collections/straps/ Carrying a camera with a sling strap is much better than employing a neck strap! The weight is shifted to a point about a third of the way from the midline to the lateral aspect of the shoulder. Would this suffice for your purposes, StLouie1970?
There are many companies who provide shoulder or sling straps. Peak Design, Black Rapid, to name a couple. Research thoroughly and assess the designs against your needs, how you intend to use it, and expectations. I think I must have spent about a month or two looking over all the designs, reviews, and weighing them against how I would use the straps now and into the future. Pay close attention to where the strap attaches to your camera and also whether there is a safety tether in the even that the camera becomes detached from the strap.
I chose the Black Rapid, Double Breathe,
http://www.blackrapid.com/Double-Breathe, because it can work as a single or double. In the double configuration, you can carry two cameras, or in my case a camera on one sling and a telephoto on the other for quick change to a different shooting mode; e.g. landscape/macro to birds in flight.
An additional strap that I have purchased is the backpack sling or Backpack Breathe,
http://www.blackrapid.com/Backpack-Breathe. This one has been the one I use most often as I am hiking up mountains. I allows me to carry some of my gear in my backpack as well as food and other essentials for hiking while having my camera ready at my side.
In moments where I am just walking in a park or the city, I can easily change to the shoulder sling.
I have been quite satisfied with both products. Just my two cents....

Check out
OP/TECH USA Utility Strap-Sling - this is what I have been using for over 8 years - it is comfortable and no failures which are my main concerns. As for the cost - this seems to be the best value out there...
The OpTech system is great. Easily interchangeable clipping from one strap to another, slings, hand straps, harness, etc. The shoulder pads are stretch cushioned so takes the jarring weight of camera instead of your shoulder. I have double sling, harness and others where the strap easily converts to among them. I recently added the sling strap that is length adjustable and had a wire braided cable to deter cut and rob thieves.
They also attach via the strap lugs on the camera rather than the tripod socket. Without arguing whether or not a tripod socket is strong enough for that, a lot of systems are comfortable. But I find OpTech is high quality, made in the USA and you can get more of the system accessories for the price of a black Rapid strap alone.

Another vote for Peak Design Slide. It is longer than standard straps, and it stays in place.
All suggestions have been good ones, each with their own merits. But it’s still a difficult decision as which will be best. The best idea might be to go to a good camera store try some of these out if possible. If you live in or near New York City the place to go is a no-brained: B&H. Other wise one you have narrowed down you can order from those companies and try them out. This is not ideal because it means sending things . One place you might try is Lensrental.com.because they carry a lot of other camera gear besides lenses and cameras. I have used them when deciding on lenses.
StLouie, we the Think Tank model, used with a quick-detachable safety tether. I have one that I bought with the extended case for our 150-600 Tamron, it's very well made, sturdy and has done a grand job. Would buy again.
OP/TECH is excellent. They have all sorts of straps, and all of their pieces fit together, so you can mix and match.
