Mercedes 300SL.
Here are four Mercedes300SL on display,(1956) the one has also the factory supplied suitcase like new installed.
My dad loved these SL's when they were new. They were unlike anything else on the road.
Whoa … nice shots of beautiful cars.

All beautiful motors, excellent shots Mike.
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing them.
A classic if there ever was one. The style was way ahead of its time.

One of my favorites...nice series Mike!
Nicely done, Mike. I'd sure like to drive one of those.
These are some of the greatest cars ever made.
I have 560 made in 1986 that I back and forth the the golf course a few times a year.
The hard top has not been on it for 25 years, and the soft top has been up on it maybe
10 times in that period.
It is a wonderful vehicle, and I would not trade it for any production vehicle made by
any automaker today.
I saw the current version made by Mercedes just year and it made me laugh.
Great photos of these jewels. When I was in high school back in the 1950s in Texas
one of my classmates drove one of those gullwings. Will never forget it.
Thanks for this post. Delightful.
Great photos of a classic car. In the mid to late 1950’s, my dad was the district sales manager for Mercedes Benz in the midwest. We had two company cars. My dad had the 300 SL Gullwing exactly like the one in the 3rd picture. My mom had a white convertible Mercedes 190 SL. If I recall correctly, even back then the two Mercedes’s we had in our driveway cost more than the brand new 3 bedroom, 2 bath house we lived in.
