The OP asked for full frame lens. If not there are a lot of lenses in the range of 18-55mm but only for APS-C cameras.

Nikon makes a nice 14-24mm f/2.8, and a nice 24-85mm f/2.8. Both are FX. Even used, they will cost a bit. Together, these would cover your desired range, and then some. Why do you want that particular range? These lenses have higher IQ than do the 18-XXXmm DX kit lenses.

Sony has several FF lenses that, in 2 lenses, cover your desired range. There are two 16-35's, f2.8 & f4. Similarly, there are two 24-70's, again f2.8 & f4. The faster lenses are considerably more expensive and heavy, while the f4's are well rated.

There is a Sony 18-130 mm E-mount. Runs to $600 when not offered in sales.

That is pretty much what I said a few posts ago. Except the 24-70 does not get you to 85mm, as OP wants. So you really need the 24-105mm.

I've often thought it's a shame that the standard zoom doesn't go as wide as 20mm or even wider. The manufacturers are keen to add more range at the long end but shy away from extending the range at the wide end. I think there would be lots of people that would be interested in a lens like that. I've seen real estate photographers say that you really need 20mm (or wider) to do good interior shots, and most landscape photographers wouldn't say no to an extension at the wide end.

A multi-purpose (walkabout?) lens that had good reach and could also handle interior/close-up shots well and give more options for landscape shots seems like a good idea to me.

A lens that reaches from the ultra-wide into the telephoto range would be technically very complex--that is large, heavy, and expensive; and the quality would be pretty bad to boot. This is why mid-range zooms typically cut off at 24mm, or sometimes even at 28mm. For realtors, a 16-35mm (full-frame) is all that is needed. That is a good lens for landscapes as well, although I rarely shoot landscapes below 24mm.

Indeed it is. (It lives on my A7 III.) This thread is about full-frame lenses.

Look for the last lens that was designed for AF and that range on film canons. All film camera lenses are designed for the 35mm frame. I think you might find what you are looking for. But it won't necessarily be state of the art. Just good. I use Canon film lenses for EOS mount full frame digital.

This just has to have a lot to do with why the number of daily posts have been falling fast the last year or so. If you have nothing to contribute, then contribute nothing! Very simple concept people, jeez.

Isn’t that what you just did?
