You may want to call their customer service and ask about your selected preference in shipping. I called to see why I did not receive 2 day shipping after going prime and they told me that my selected preference in shipping was 5 business days. I was never told there was a preference to select but after the call things did improve.

I have only had an issue with the shipping a couple times over the last few years.
Both times were close to Christmas and ironically both times involved something photography related.
The first time was upon ordering a couple extra batteries for my first dslr which I purchased used.
The battery was worn out and wouldn't last at all. I wanted to use the camera to provide pictures at my Santa Claus home visits but due to the battery I wasn't able to use it.
In spite of the free two day shipping it took nearly a week for my batteries to arrive.
I contacted customer service and after pointing out that this had cost me as I purchased for work they ended up telling me to keep the batteries and they issued a full refund.

I had to return an item to Amazon from a third party. The third party deducted a restocking fee of 20%. Amazon made up the difference. Now, that's customer service at it's best. And many of my two day orders arrive in only one day.

I generally get items in 1-2 days. Very rarely more than that. I even ordered a 200-pound "egg" cooking grill and it was at my door the next day! I probably saved most of my Prime membership fee in the free shipping on that thing!

Feather....have you ever heard the expression, 'People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones?
Please refer to your posting of September 8, 2018. While your intent is understood; the spelling of 'amature' is wrong. Unless, you are referring to XXPorn Amature.

Back to point...what purpose was served by your inappropriate criticism? No reply needed...strictly rhetorical.

I’ve also been a Prime member for a number of years. If shipments fall more than a day or two outside the promised time window, don’t hesitate to call their “customer service.” Squeaky wheel gets the oil.

Yes, I have. I ordered an item January 16th. I finally cancelled it yesterday because Amazon had no clue as to its whereabouts.

No problems here either. Just read that they are going to free returns at Kohl’s store in June, only had a return once but it wasn’t cheap.

Most things now you don’t have to return. They tell you to keep it and refund your money.

I have been an Amazon Prime member for 15-20 years and originally I signed up because of there free Second Day FREE shipping. Now there free shipping is no longer Second Day but whenever. Last Tuesday I ordered four item all sold and shipped by Amazon and in stock, today is Saturday and none of the items show to have been shipped when I track the order. Awhile back I ordered a CD which was to ship from England, after a month and not shipped I cancelled the order. Have others found Amazon shipping to have become a problem?

No problems at all, but I do live in NJ. Many items I get in one day! I think location is a factor and whether the order was placed with Amazon or another merchant on Amazon.

Just a note:
Amazon Prime began in 2006, so you cannot have been a member for 15 - 20 years. Our memories can fool us.

In the last couple of years we have had a MASSIVE Amazon warehouse built locally, so deliveries aren’t a problem

The only problem I've had with them came when they sent me a new 7-14mm lens. It came in a much larger box with virtually no cushioning. Bounced around like a nut in a tin can. There were indications that it may have been opened as well.

I never even peeked inside at the lens. Sent it back (well packed), and bought from another place. Won't get expensive items like that from them again unless I'm comfortable with its durability.
