Which camera would you choose

I'm thinking about purchasing a new full frame camera body. I've narrowed my choices down to the Canon 6D or the 5D Mk II. They are both close to the same $$$'s but unable to decide because the 6D has a slow flash sync speed of 1/180 and a shutter speed of 1/4000 compared to the 5D Mk II which has a flash sync speed of 1/200 and a shutter speed of 1/8000 of a second. How important are these values in every day photography? Also the 5 D Mk II has been reported of having a slow auto focus which from some reviews is a deal breaker. Any 5D Mk II owners like to comment? I am just a hobbyist and most of my photography is wild life,, landscapes and macro but am interested in doing lighting set ups.

The flash sync speeds differences are not significant and I've never used 1/8000 of a second shutter duration. Maybe if you were doing sports? If I was thinking about high speed photography, I would be freezing the motion by using flash duration which is much shorter than any camera's shutter speed. Just my 2 pennies worth...

I lean toward the 6D with the most recent video tech and Wi-
fi capability. The other spec differences are of little difference in every day shooting. Oh, and it is a little faster and focus a little better.

It is almost a tough call but the slow focus speed is annoying especially if you photograph birds in flight. But if I had to choose between focus speed vs. shutter speed, I would choose the faster focus speed. Hence, the 6d. I do wish that my camera did 1/8000sec. but it only does 1/4000 and I get along just fine. Oh, and don't worry about the sync speeds.

"None of the above" is just silly and immature. Many people have been turned off from this forum because of comments such as yours or the ones like, "Should have bought a Nikon" or whatever. It is such a turn off.
I am a Sony shooter through and through but the two Canon models in question are both excellent cameras and I will offer my advice when I feel I may have something to add, no matter what brand. Just saying.

When I see that a beginner is unable to make up their mind about a camera because of tiny and almost irrelevant differences in specification I think it appropriate to advise them to stand back a moment and really consider what sort of camera would be best for them.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to comment and give your two pennies worth as I really appreciate it. Photography is all about attention to detail . To me no detail is too small to overlook. I was leaning towards the 6D myself as the reviews for the 5 D Mk II are just all over the place. Thanks again for all the valued input.

Thanks Tainkc, that was the response I was looking for. Truly appreciate it. Too much invested in Canon to even consider another make. Cannot afford to support two companies.....lol
