And your point is? In the first two cases, there is no telling how much worse these shootings would have been if it were not for the guard and police department. As for Ft. Hood, it is my understanding that there were plenty of people around that were trained in the use of firearms but, unless they were MPs, they were unarmed at the time.

Even before LaPierre gave the NRA "solution" I knew the gun-control advocates were anxiously awaiting his response only so they could laugh, discredit him, and dismiss his suggestions. Now, as Bmac kindly linked to, we remember Clinton responding in similar fashion to Columbine (no one ridiculed HIM).
I also note that our Clark County School District here, in Nevada, (5th largest district in the U.S.) has a "full blown" police department of their own, as does Los Angeles School District.
I'll take this opportunity to suggest our elected representatives are NOT the highly intelligent, clear-thinking, efficient administrators they would have us believe. If they were, I believe they would be making so much money in the private sector they couldn't afford to become Senators, Congressmen, or Presidents.
