Look, if you don't want to take precautions then fine. Don't wear your seat belt next time you get in the car and tell your loved ones to do the same. Also, take the batteries out of the smoke alarms.
What do you see wrong about owning a gun to protect yourself and the ones you love? Just in case????

I have a 650 pound safe in my bedroom and I carry whenever I leave the house. No one is going to get my guns. I have too much money invested in them. I have about $3800 invested in the one pictured above.
The scope on it is tritium powered with an illluminated reticle for night use. It also has a scripture from the Bible on it from the Trijicon factory.. John 8:12... Explain that??

SteveR, I too am a Christian and I too know the power of the "Word". I know that "Jesus Saves". I also know that guns kill - guns kill Christians also. God also gave you something called "Common Sense" and he expects you to use it. Buy a gun, thank God that you have it and ask God that if you ever have to use it to help you shoot true and straight .

I don't see anything wrong in this video....
http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/video/god-guns-9598128
Eugene...I have heard of guns being made for the military that have Bible verses on them as a witness. Again...I am not advocating against guns or gun ownership. I think we should all acknowledge their danger. I spoke before of a friend of ours who was murdered with her own gun. When my Dad was about 10, in the hills of W.Va, he went to a friend's house. The friend pulled out his father's squirrel gun and pointed it at my Dad and pulled the trigger. Nothing happened. He then pointed at his (the friend's) brother and pulled the trigger. It went off, srtiking the boy in the stomach, killing him. This is a true story. Too many guns are not handled safely and too many innocent people are killed or injured. I don't know the answer to this problem.
That is so cool...And you have one?[quote=handgunner][quote=handgunner]

I understand your concern. But, I will regress to my origional post... Look at all the people killed by cars.. Do we need to take away all cars? No, I don't think so. And I as a Christian am not offended by putting Bible versuses on weapons. I think they should be displayed anyplace anytime. There is actually a posting with a video on it on this thread.

And yes, I will acknowledge their danger if not handled properly. But if we do away with everything that someone has died on, we wouldn't have anything. I have heard of people choking to death while eating a chicken leg. Do we need to stop selling chicken to eat?
