i never understood the logic in our fascination with the english royal family ... it's a photo of some (probably) nice lady with a lot of fame and fortune, but aside from that, am i the only one yawning here?

And WE ALL know it's phony because we all saw the original with which she started, right?
I suppose Royals are not allowed to play with photo editors or poetic license,
or at least keep it under lock and key...

This is an interesting discussion. To me the issue relates to how significant the changes were. If they made Kate look healthy when she is not, that is a problem. I do wonder why they will not make the original available. I do tend to think news photos purporting to be "real" must be very, very careful about adjustments though focus and lighting may be OK..
