It's a small world! I had a somewhat similar experience while operating a 'yard switch engine', plus it was after dark! My brakeman didn't fully set the manual brake when we had to place several box cars on the main switch line. The line had a very slight incline. Once uncoupled, the cars started to roll towards the street! The brakeman had to RUN to catch up to it, and then finish setting the break... Fortunately, it didn't quite get to the street. I was the 'engine' operator.

Another movie with a similar plot is the 1985 movie Runaway Train starring a young Jon Voight, Eric Roberts and Rebecca DeMornay. The plot involves a hardened convict and a younger prisoner escape from a brutal prison in the middle of winter only to find themselves on an out-of-control train with a female railway worker while being pursued by the vengeful head of security. The locale is Alaska! This film received very favorable reviews and is based on a screenplay originally written in 1960 by Akira Kurosawa.

That was an exceptionally good movie. The acting was superb.
Sorry to disagree but "Runaway Train" was far better due to a more layered and nuanced script and outstanding acting.
Everyone to their own thing, tho.

Wasn't he the bad guy in training day? Some actors specify that they will not play the bad guy.
Yes, he was the “dirty” cop. He got an academy award for training day… after having many better movies where he should have gotten an award

Maybe I'll watch that tonight.
Just happened in India for real!
