This is a rant.

How long when you post a question on the UHH before you check back for answer? I found so many UHH posted questions and never camera back with a response even if it's a F*** word. I much rather see that than a question and then I tried to answer the OP just never acknowledge. I think that is a greater insult than using bad words.
I never tell anyone to go ask Mr. Google and I am not Mr. Google.

It may be several hours.

Not everyone is on UHH continually. Particularly on a workday. If someone asks a question in the morning (s)he may not be back online until after work.

If it runs more than 2 days I would consider it inconsiderate. Coming back home after work and having your spouse dump a lot of chores on you should be a valid excuse for more than 1 day.

Been there.

Not every answer gets a reply. That could get long and tedious.

Bebu, the topic that seemed to set you off this morning was written today at 7:45 a.m. east coast time. Less than three hours later you asked if he'd seen the replies.

It also appears as if you thought Bill_de was speaking to you when he said, "Why not just answer the question." He was not (look at who he quote replied).

I knew Bill didn't response to me but the person who asked "Why" may make the OP feel insulted but still I much rather get a response than a simply walking away.

Oh OK, sorry. I thought the second paragraph of the person who asked why clarified why he was asking why.

We all tend to insert our own feelings into others' responses it seems

The OP's previous topic was posted Dec 6 mid-day. He didn't reply to responses for more than four days. Busy guy!

I agree, I just wanted to point out that life does not revolve around UHH.

It's not just checking back for an answer. It's asking a question without sufficient information to get a relevant answer, and then not answering people's questions to clarify. Meanwhile there is a lot of speculation about what the OP meant.

I identify with that statement! God put me on earth to do a certain number of things. I am so far behind now, that I will probably never die! Wishful thinking...

Absolutely. Very few questions, especially concerning computers, have enough info for an anccurate answer. If you want a correct answer instead of speculation, answer questions so your issue can be accurately understood. Good diagnosticians ask questions and listen so they completely understand the problem instead of talking and speculating.

And that leads to another problem - the OP does answer questions to clarify their post, but people don't read the whole thread so they keep speculating on the basis of the OP's original question.
